<SPAN>A high school drama teacher is under arrest accused of creating a real-life drama that could land her in prison.

Lisa Glide, 35, is charged with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old student at Old Bridge High School. The drama teacher was being held at the county jail where she's accused of having a sexual affair with one of her students.

"I was shocked because I knew this teacher and she was great," said Corey O'Neill, a student at the school.

Students told CBS 2 Glide is a respected drama teacher who never seemed flirtatious with the male students who walked the halls.

"She was nice, she was a really nice lady and she really loved what she did and she was really nice to all of us," said Aliese Keyzawski.

But prosecutors say Glide was a little too nice to a student last year, who tells police he had an ongoing affair with the single teacher that began in February.

"Are you serious? That's disgusting. I'm appalled," said Charlie Poppiti, who has a child that attends the school.

While some parents didn't want to believe the allegations, others wanted action.

"They need to scrutinize the teaching staff better," said parent Jeff Olwell.

At the apartment where Glide lives alone, neighbors who knew her were stunned.

"Considering I have a daughter, it bothers me a little bit. You can't send your kids to school and let something happen like this, it's a little scary," said Steve Gibb.

CBS 2 tried to talk with Old Bridge official, but they would not comment on the situation. Neither school bosses, the school board, nor the assistant superintendent had anything to say about the teacher who's now getting a lesson herself about the criminal justice system.

Glide faces charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. She has been suspended without pay and prosecutors say she could get up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

The accuser has since graduated from the school.

man double standards are crazy. every time I hear about some guy student sleeping with an older teacher, I'm like "good for him, who could blame him?" but I definitely don't have that reaction if it's an older male teacher/girl student. I guess I am sexist...

I agree with you Fenway. I also think that if it were a teenage girl, she wouldn't be bragging to all her friends about bangin a teacher. With teenage boys, there just aren't enough people in the world to tell about these adventures.

When I was a senior in HS (1974) a buddy of mine and I hooked up with some grade school teachers.

Nobody ever found out; but i did find it odd that my Dad asked me about it. He was cool and droped it when I told him it was not true, if i admitted it he would have said pics or it did not happen.

i felt the same thing for last couple years. all my teachers were on there way out, but now i heard there are alot of just out of college teachers there now. so fucking gay. just bad timing. i guess 40 years ago there were young teachers then.

nah some states the age of consent is 16 but not if you are in a position of authority like a coach or teacher..etc..
