  1. i just threw up in my fucking mouth

  2. it should have been clemens
  3. hahahah i hear ya
  4. F you all. Go Redbirds! Carpenter had 43 more K's, one less win, slightly higher ERA than Dontrelle, and led his team to NLCS. Clemens had a nice ERA but only about 6 wins all year.
  5. You are a moron if you don't think that Carpenter deserved the CY Young...WOW
  6. Tough one this year because you could make a case for Carpenter, Willis, Clemens, and Oswalt.

Personally, I liked Willis or Clemens. Nothing Clemens could do that he gave up 1 run or less in about 10 games and couldn't get a win. I generally like the ERA to be the main consideration in the Cy Young voting, and this year, Clemens was the most dominant pitcher in the league. Period.

My votes would have gone in this order:

    1) Clemens
    2) Willis
    3) Carpenter
    4) Oswalt

  7. I too, was suprised that Carpenter got the nod. This is almost like 1990 when Bob Welch won the Cy Young over guess who? Clemens. I wonder if this is an attempt to reward Carpenter for a career year he, in all honesty probably won't see again. Clemens has been dominant for so long and put up so many insane years that it would take something special to derail his efforts. Carpenter put up one of those years. I don't really agree with the choice, but I can understand it.
  8. first of all the voting goes in b4 the playoffs start so who cares how far the redbirds got. personally i think clemens should ve won based on era but if not roger then the d-train should ve won. carpenter is a jopke all those wins in the weak central with 5.5 game run support put the dtrain in there and he win another 5-6 games ez
