No Favre retrade to Vikes

    Looks like he will be staying put in NY (which makes sense)..... or if they did trade him again, it would not be to the Vikings.

    "NFL.com's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Green Bay Packers did put a stipulation in the trade that sent Brett Favre to the Jets. If the Jets turn around and deal Favre to the Vikings, New York would have to send Green Bay three first-round picks."

    oh last i checked zimmerman was a bronco and he just went in. who will be the next REDSKIN to go in? oh wait 2 of those just went in. both my teams covered, no eagles or cowboys in, excellent year!

    Meh last I checked the skins still finished ahead of the eagles and made the playoffs...unless the eagles made it in the offseason due to some doping violation which moved them up in the standings.

    Didnt the NFL make these "poison pill" clauses illegal? After the vikings-seahawks deal?

    Vikes should file tampering charges imo

    hmmm, I believe that the Vikings-Seahawks poison pill was structuring an offer sheet so that it would be unmatchable by the other team based on salary cap. This just says if Favre gets traded to the NFC North, they give up first round picks.

    someone forced Hutch to sign the contract?

    And from what i heard (not for sure a fact) the 3 1st rounders are only for a trade to MN, not the division, but that def could be wrong

    I think it's different in that Minnesota never had the rights to Favre, and Seattle did have the right to match a contract offer for Hutch...except that the contract was structured to explicitly block that right.

    I've never heard so much talk about 2 teams (Packers & Jets) that aren't even going to make the playoffs.

    brett favre is sooooo overrated.. i'm pretty sure no one will ever break his record for career interceptions thrown (288 not counting this coming year so let's just make that a nice round 300 because he is definitely getting there unless he gets injured or benched) not to mention 5 seasons with 20 or more picks. if anybody in today's NFL threw that many their ass would be on the bench in two weeks. i can't wait for him to throw as many picks as touchdowns and then bow out after one year with the Jets. He is a complete assclown and should go back to Mississippi and film Wrangler commercials for the rest of his life, it's the only thing he is semi-good at.

    could this scenario happen? Jets trade Favre to another team (not the vikings) then that team trades favre to the vikings.
