  2. my connection sucked when i was living at school and my K/D in black ops was like 2.2

now my connection is perfect at home and my k/d is 2.36 in mw3... so i dont see a difference

I DO see a difference when i play on different TVs though. I usually play on a 32'' vizio and crush people, every now and then ill play on a 46'' samsung and find it harder to aim and it seems like the movements is less fluid.

  4. Oh hai guys..

    Whats going on in here?
  5. lol BF3 is by far the worst game i have ever played, get that shit out of here
  6. halos the opposite....if you have a crisp connection you are a beast and everything runs much smoother as far as registering shots. BTW OP nice brag on your stats

I'm glad you like BF3. I personally find it boring.
  8. Agree on the different TV's. I still play on an old-ass TV because the reaction time is perfect (example - when I turn left on the controller I immediately turn on the screen). I've been looking for a new TV to play on but every one I try the reaction time is delayed and it feels like a different game (turn left and there is a major delay). Obviously this could fuck your gameplay up

I'm glad i traded in bf3 before black friday. i got 33.75 amazon credit for my trade in. it goes for $30 new now at a lot of places.
  10. Anything trying to explain a difference in COD performance is an excuse. You'll never see great players post anything like this. Ever.

    If you're below 1, you're awful. If you're 1 - 1.5 you're decent. If you're 1.5 - 2 you're very solid. If you're 2-3 you're very very good. If you're 3+ you're elite. This is all in my opinion after playing since MW2 came out.

    FTR here are my stats:
    MW2: 1.2
    Black Ops: 2.4
MW3: not buying until exams finish, but played a lot at friends. shooting for 3+

I prefer playing games FPS games on smaller TVs - if its too big theres too much info to take in, and its harder to see it all.

This just isnt true. Connections do matter. And some very good players (not me) run at 1.5 because they are so active on the map, while some decent players run 2+ but just camp.

Fine then you can include a relationship between your ratio and your score per minute. Score per minute should be 300+

If you consider yourself a good player, you need to have 300+ and 2.0+ in my opinion. For the first year or so I played COD I was not even close to this, and looking back I was not very good.

If you can't get 2 kills per every time you die -- you're not very good. Period.

My tv has a setting for video games which I assume clears this up. Never had that problem. I think most the these days do... ???

That seems more accurate. I still think there are some extremely good players that run 1.5s. Me, I'm just decent.
  20. is there a way to filter score per minute like blackops did?

Not sure, I'm not on the MW3 train yet. If you really wanted to you could just multiply your kills by 100 and divide by time played. You'd have to assign some average value to assists, probably around 40, and add that to your total as well.

A lot of work for a pretty insignificant little discussion here lol

I think the larger your TV, the slower the reaction time. I've bought 2 TV's (32" Toshiba and 46" Samsung) in the past two years not for gaming but figured I'd give it a try and the reaction time was horrible. The Toshiba had a gaming mode which made it a little better but definitely not what I was looking for. I guess I'm just so used to playing on my TV that's deeper than it is wide
  24. mw3 does not have score per minute but it does have avg score per match on the score leaderboard. however, once you prestige it resets your games played so youd have to look at your total score then go to the wins leaderboard and total your wins and losses + any draws and divide to figure that out. my avg score per match was about 1900. 300 seems high for score per minute avg just to be good. and obv gametype and map matter. if you play the first dlc pack maps from black ops and i play nuketown 24/7 then ill have a higher spm even if im significantly worse.

and all that aside, you havent played the game and seen the bullshit people are talking about. it's not just 'i was behind the wall when i died', thats standard. some of it you can see in the vid in the op where there guy gets killed practically instantly. and you havent seen the ridiculous spawn system. i have literally spawned in a guys view.

this is not my vid but it's the spot. and apparently someone either knew of the broken spawn or was just randomly camping it back further from where this guy was so the whole area was in view. they were ads and i spawned right about 5 feet from where they were aiming.
dome is almost nuketown small and on that size map youre gonna get some bs, but even on larger maps you get fucked. ive killed a guy on arkaden and he spawned behind me. and on carbon it spawned me on one side of a small building at the north end of the map, then as i was running out it spawned someone on the other side of the same building. thats just some of what i remember from like the past couple days, and it's gotten better from when they released it.

oh, and you cant just multiply kills by 100 unless you only play tdm. and mw3 assists are either 10 or 20. never seen higher.
  25. Just want to add if you play any other game types your k/d will suffer if you are trying to win the game. I play a lot of dom or kc and only care about winning not how many time I die.

Lol weird how I can play the same game at someone elses house (connection), and do extremely well on a consistent basis, yet go home and not get even close. (with everything the exact same, guns perks etc. )

Btw i've played like 20 more games at his house and average over 2.0 k/d.

O and they have acknowledged this problem and are working to fix it.

    But ya, just an excuse...
