is it possible for texas to go undefeated and win the big 12 championship and not get into the national championship game? like lets say that texas, ohio st., florida, go undefeated next year. i was always under the impression big 12 undefeated champion and sec undefeated champion always will go. but now im startin to think it all depends on preseason rankings if that was to happen. anyone know wat would happen??

I think it would depend on where Texas was seeded in the playoff...oh wait nevermind, a fucking computer would decide who played...

auburn that year was not in the ame position as texas this year. that year oklahoma and usc were the #1 and #2 teams almost all year, had good years the year before so there were expectations for them, while Auburn kinda snuck up on people.

possible yes, likely no.
Texas has finished in the top 3 the last two years, will start out high in the polls, and is friggin texas. They go undefeated, they go to the title game. Every year.
