    The wife and I are attending a wedding in Emerald Isle NC at the end of may and are looking to rent a beachouse or condo. I have never been there in my life and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where i may be able to find a decent rental. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the website! There are a lot of nice properties but the problem im running into is that they all require a minimum 7 day commitment......arghhhh......

    ahh ic ic... unfortunetly i think most houses have a 7 day minimum... there are a bunch of hotels though... i hope it works out for you

    You can also check out some of the surrounding cities for possible places to stay. Morehead City, Beaufort and Atlantic Beach are nearby. There may be more options there. My grandparents have a place at Emerald Isle, but it's kind of a dump :)

    Emerald Isle is kind of dumpy, but the beach is the beach and if you go to wrightsville beach for example, its going to be a lot more crowded.

    As for NC girls, ummm i have no comment.

    Yeah, I was thinking EI is not exactly high end as far as NC beaches. That's why I suggested Morehead or Beaufort. Atlantic Beach is also kinda iffy in some parts.

    Well you do seem pretty sweet and classy, but not all NC women are like you, especially some of the ones that went to ECU!!!!!!!!

    What the heck are you doing in J'ville anyway? Are you in the military? I'm old, so I probably don't know too many girls your age, but I have some younger cousins and second cousins who are the real deal.

    Meh...I'm 33 and live in Greensboro...if I go to the beach, I stay at Holden Beach and party in Wilmington...imo, it's as good as you're going to do if you're not in Greenville...ps ecugirl...one of my boys owns the Moe's SW Grill near campus...tell em Joesky sent ya...and lol at their being no hot girls in NC...el oh el...

    You obviously haven't been around many cats, dams. Some are jerks, but many of them are very sweet and loving. It just depends on the cat. Kinda like women, I guess :)

    Plenty of nice nc girls, it's a big state people, don't judge it all by one microcosm. ...try www.vrbo.com best deals and since talking directly to owners you can negotiate the number of days. ...also a greeeeeat place for vegas. Tons of suites for rent at less than a regular standard hotel room.

    This is standard. And it's a bitch getting on and off the OBX because the rental are mostly Sunday to Saturday, so everyone os coming and going at the same time.

    Well worth the aggravation imo. Have fun. Charter a boat, go fishing. wooot

    side roads paralleling the main highway ftw. Will save you an hour or more. Had that fun experience on a july4th weekend a few years ago. Still worth it! We were all the way up there almost to the beach driving area.

    VRBO-Vacation rental by owner...Site lists properties(obv), price/pics/availability calender/direct owner contact info, etc. .(vrbo.com)
    -I've used VRBO many times and have gotten some great deals, esp in off peak seas, etc.

    imo drive 20 mins towards atlantic beach on the island and crash at the sheridon at the peir. I know they changed that area a lil bit since i lived out there but that used to be the nutsss.
