    most of her pictures are unfortunately of her not looking nearly as good or of food. and here is the only other one with a weird drawing on it

    So I took my first stab at restoring an old photo because I am going to try and help my dad with a few in the near future. This was my first ever try so any tips or anything would be greatly appreciated. This is just some random image I found online and I know I left some white dots and stuff in the background but this was just for practice and it was getting pretty tedious. One of the problems I have is like at the top of this one that white space, not knowing if that needs touching up or if that's from lighting and should stay to make the photograph more original.

    Super impressive imo, I would love to be able to do that, I think the white space at the top fits with the picture. Where did you learn how to do this?

    Thanks! Pretty much completely self taught. I used to mess around on Paint Shop Pro a lot when I was a kid and I do some very basic photoshop work at my job so I have CS5 installed here and a ton of downtime so I just watch/read tutorials and mess around here and there. I know a lot of OTers are way better with PS than I am but it is starting to become a hobby. I've really been messing a lot lately with colorizing old black and white photos and a few have turned out really cool - I'll try and upload some soon.

    Yea I mess around with it a fair bit too, just switching faces and other basic stuff, my current computer can not handle CS5 very well, it runs really slow, so I am upgrading this weekend and plan to do a lot more and I know my mum would love to have some photos touched up like you have done here. Would love to be able to do that for her.

    Thats from a instant messaging app called LINE. Huge in Japan, didnt realize China had it too. There are hundreds of cartoons/pictures etc like that where, for example this blonde cheering woman, you could say "I didnt pee my bed last night!" and then attach this cartoon
