None of this hurts my feelings, it's just lame. It's the truth about America. Every American here says America fuck ya but then then most fail when it comes to being a true patriot. All of our great grandpa's would call us pussy commies no doubt.
-
hypocrites gon' hypocrite. But doesn't it just make you feel so pious to be able to spout discontent about US athletes being forced to wear horrible Chinese clothing? Congress certainly isn't passing up the opportunity.

I duno. If my grandpa was able to vote for the Smoot–Hawley Tariff back in 1930, which you clearly support, I don't think he'd be called a patriot.

Yeap, those goddamn commies always exported jobs overseas to increase corporate profits

My Great Grandpa who I am named after was a communist, he would be proud of me

I love how in China they still claim communism and have the party but everywhere thriving in the country is a "special economic zone" or "special administrative region" (Hong Kong and Macau)
Reason: or special administrative regions -
In today's American economy most businesses must either import products produced overseas or import the ingredients to make the products in America. If a business does not do this than they will not be low on any bids(except the buy america ones) and be out of business in no time.
If you want people to buy American than the government needs to implement stricter tariffs. -
The ironing of you posting this from a computer made in China is really a perfect example of ironing.

There isn't a politician anywhere without a nuclear sized hard-on for politically convenient issues that gets their faces on tv.

I'd love to see this ridiculous "issue" force the American team to change manufacturers and get American made uniforms that rip during different events. I'd shit myself laughing
Also, you guys may call exporting jobs overseas unpatriotic, but Romney just calls it job creation. -

Cant wait til travis joins smokerock
That being said, oh noes, china makes sweatpants and we dont! Will we ever catch up technologically? What's next, will we shutter the booming cheap knicknack factories and outsource those jobs to a third world shithole where people make a good living on $8 a day? Will we lose our ability to manufacture chia pets? Are we losing the global arm (bangles) race? Zzzzz -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-speed_rail_in_China
High-speed rail in China (simplified Chinese: 中国高速铁路; traditional Chinese: 中國高速鐵路; pinyin: Zhōngguó gāosù tiělù) refers to any commercial train service in China with an average speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) or higher. By that measure, China has the world's longest high-speed rail (HSR) network with about 9,676 km (6,012 mi)[1] of routes in service as of June 2011[dated info] including 3,515 km (2,184 mi) of rail lines with top speeds of 300 km/h (186 mph).[2] In 2010, the BBC reported that by 2012, China was expected to have more high-speed railway track than the rest of the world combined.[3]
America probably isn't as far ahead of the world as you think, if ahead at all. (My personal vote is falling behind)
We can't even get a highspeed train from LA to SF going. Took them 3 years to do Beijing to Shianghai which is a further distance -
This is sad

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-sp..._United_States
High-speed rail in the United States currently consists of one high-speed rail service:[1]:5 Amtrak's Acela Express runs on the Northeast Corridor from Boston to Washington, D.C. Unlike Asian or European systems, the Acela shares its tracks with conventional rail, and thus is limited to an average speed of 68 mph (109 km/h) for the entire distance with brief segments up to 150 mph (240 km/h).
That is compared to China having over 6,000 miles of track with average speed of 124mph or more -

I've taken the train from dc to NYC and it is so slow, it jerks left and right so much and passes through dense population and other train traffic. If we had empty fields to cross it would help. My back hurt so much later. Ugh.
Not making excuses for crossing the country, we just suck. But I understand that route being slow. It's too curvy also. Obv just need to plow everything out of the way and make a straight line. That's what china would do. Ask the towns they moved for a dam. -
China is real fucked up and I know that. When I was in China they had a huge crash on one of their trains too. I also know that the people complain about the high cost of their train system
Edited By: Zeppelin Jul 13th, 2012 at 05:22 AM
But yeah, when China decides they want something done like a highspeed rail it gets done. They don't have all the bureaucracy we have to deal with. If you are in the way they will move you. Pay their labor like shit and people die in the process. It is far more efficient than our system but comes at consequences. That said, I was very impressed by the infrastructure in China, it stood out to me, especially coming from some very poor countries where the roads are terrible (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma). Those are countries that are behind. China has a lot of issues and the rural areas are still "backward" but they are no doubt preparing for the future while the US seems to be stagnant -
After I heard china makes our USA uniforms that was the last straw for me.
-
Them chinese make all the pads we use

As an adult, you can't legally walk down the street drinking a beverage purchased legally. Until that is resolved, I can't get all hung up on those faggot berets and shit.
