    My childhood thoughts of what to expect by 2010 were moon bases (hi kasilof), multiple Lakers Championship parades (hi futon), and Pontiac Firebird T-tops with wings (hi hasselhoff).

    2 outta 3 ain't bad. What, no t-top tho? This thing has a sun roof (more like a moon roof upon further review). Close enough!

    I saw this article yesterday, cool shit, IMHO I think technology like this and others in this thread are currently experiencing exponential growth. More than likely a lot of various technological advancements of this nature have already been developed but just haven't become publicly feasible, due to various problems with mass production, safety, etc etc.....so they remain in the hands of privatized companies or governments until this is no longer a factor.

    Can you imagine how screwed you'd be if you got into a nasty accident mid-air?

    I still want one, but damn I can only imagine how bad drivers would be when having control of 2 more directions that they could possibly go.
