Give it up you fucking morons. Reports of vandalism, drug dealing and smell. Give me a fucking break and I am all for the working man. I really don't think these fools have any idea what they are even fighting for anymore. I will say this though... Whoever stays from now until February deserves some kind of job not really sure which one though.

They claim to be against the one percent yet they are totally wasting tax payers dollars on a daily basis. Half of them are probably collecting unemployment.
Guaranteed 80 percent of these tent dwellers are gone within a month from now. Boston Police is actually being far more accomodating than they should be. Do these idiots want ambulances to come when they freeze to death?
I really hate hypocrites and I feel like these people are the worst. -
My friend who is a libertarian is very actively involved in the local Occupy movement. He goes downtown everyday to try and set appointments up with the local politicians.
Edited By: Prestonluv Oct 28th, 2011 at 08:17 AM
The problem is he is getting the run around and eventually is told it can take 8 to 12 months just to get a meeting with the advisors of these politicians. As a result, he looks to try and set up a once a month local assembly where the average joe can speak their mind. An open forum so to speak. This is what the founding fathers had in mind when an average joe wanted to speak. Realizing face to face interchange was hard to come by they would have these open assemblies.
Well little to my suprise the city is not being any help. He went into it knowing that many big city politicians were crooked...he just did not realize how deep in ran.
(on a side note....2 local smaller cities that are run by republicans have these assemblies set up on a monthly basis....but the big bad city wont do it...wonder why)
The good thing is that most of the people he is working with are liberals and they are coming to the quick realization that the left is just as twisted and crooked as the right. He is going to try to start a non profit movement to get some shit done.
These big cities are historically run by liberals across the USA so its no suprise to me the level of evil that exists in them.....i know many OT conservatives have admitted that the republicans are crooked and not to be trusted but i rarely here this from OT libs and i think its time they step up to the plate.
Its good to see that the libs, conservatives and libertarians active in this local occuply movement realize that both parties are the problem and both need to go or at least change 180 degrees.
I mean the Tea party is against politicians and the occupy movement is against corporations....these two need to put aside their differences and combine because we all know that the corporations and politicians are two peas in a pod, they are one of the same...they both feed each other to stay in power.
Teaoccupy Party? One time -
I am still unclear on what they are trying to accomplish. I probably agree with the main point they are trying to make even if I have no clue what it is. I just think that the way things are going right now is probably an abomination of what the original founders of the movement meant it to be. The Boston Police are respecting them and letting them do their thing. I have recently heard that Providence RI has given them 72 hours to be out.
If they are mad about the one percent I am fairly certain they need to be going on a federal level not city or even state for that matter.
Point to my OP is I think that a large percentage of these people in Boston have no clue why they are there other than the fact that it's a large gathering and they have nothing better to do. -
yes..thats what my friend says...he is active everyday and most of them are just peeps looking for a party..alot of bums, unemployed and die hard libs.
he says that most just bitch and do nothing else..at least the tea party had some organization.
I told him that he needs to start getting donations somehow cause in order for your non profit group to exist you will need money. -
they claim to be the 99% , clown .
-
lol touché .. I guess
.. well at least u edited -
i dont mind my tax dollars going to occupy boston. come to think of it, i own property in providence and i dont mind my tax dollars going there either. in fact im happy that my tax dollars are going to protect peoples who are assembling. fwiw even if i disagreed with everything they said id still support the movement just for the statement below.

here is a link, if you'd like to know who some of these clowns are...

I'm no defender of Wall Street or big banking but I have to chuckle when I look at these crowds and see 90% self loathing white hipsters screaming "Fuck Corporate America" while carring a Starbucks cup and an Iphone and dressed in American Apparel.
Shut the fuck up and go take a shower -
Understands the diff between retailers and investment banks.

I'll give one $5 per hour to stand next to my car that's taking up 2 parking spots all day, hold up a sign that says '100% Occupied', and tell people who complain to fuck off.

I would think occupy Miami would be ramping up as the snow comes. They have to have more than 30 tents worth of unhappy homeless folks looking for a commune.
Curious, where does occupy DC hang out? The Mall in dc is certainly their place to occupy if they want it but come spring softball league time you better gtfo of the way or youre gonna get a bat to the head. -
Edited By: kellykip Oct 28th, 2011 at 09:12 PMYep, read this one yesterday morning in the Post - first of all, just lol at these artisanal emaciated bearded lumberjacks and their gourmet revolution. let's see, use NYC as an urban playground backdrop, bring in attention starved & bored children of privilege from Dogfelcher Falls to protest injustice that they will always be arm's length safe from, brag that you are for the 99%, and then throw an organic fit when Caleb, Maximillian, and Harrison have to enounter...wait for it.....wait for it..... actual homeless people in an NYC park!!!!! ZOMG, I thought they were only shipped in to use as props on Law & Order!!!Originally Posted by Unforseen

Better be the 99%, but better not be the wrong 'kind' of 99%.

But but but kenower is holding a poetry reading right now in oakland! His creative writing masters degree from saint marys of california prepared him for this job. Living in berkley probably is an internship. "We took back the park!" Read: the police left to get more rubber bullets. Way to make it sound like you rallied the troops and beat those cops down in battle. Creative writing degrees ftmfw!

Oakland's police union has estimated that last week's sweep of the Occupy Oakland encampment - which re-established itself within days - cost taxpayers more than $1 million.

Since when has California been concerned with wasting taxpayer funds?
