that would be an interesting bet tim. I'd bet he'd sell the least, not because of talent level, because country music is so damn popular. Comparing James to this years talent he was great, comparing to successful idol people from past years he's just OK.

Well he's certainly a more talented performer and vocalist than Mad magazine's new cover boy, Scotty, but that's who will probably win. Lauren has the most potential overall so that's who I hope wins now. Even though I know she'll be singing songs about Jesus taking the wheel or something.

WTF how did James not win it all. I can't believe he was able to sing the last song. I thought he was going to fall apart watching the memory compilation video. Looking forward to see him and Steven Tyler perform on the finale which will definitely happen. I hope he makes it in the music industry, he impressed me more and more throughout the season. Can't believe he didn't have any freak out moments the whole season.

I like both girls, though James prob deserved either one of their slots tbh. Hailey has grown on me every week. Lauren has as well, girls got some absurd potential IMO.
I hope Scotty doesn't win. I've yet to sit through an entire performance of his. I don't get him at all. Not my style I guess, but I feel like he has less talent then everyone else. He sounds exactly the same all the time. He will probably win though, meh. -

For all the Scotty haters, I just wanna say...could anyone else in this competition perform the song he sang last night as well as he did?
The answer is no.
Scotty might not sing your favorite style of music, but he sings his style better than anyone else on the show this year. He doesn't have the same sort of vocal range and power as the others, but he does things with his voice that others can't fathom to do. Imagine James or Jacob trying to sing a song like Scotty sings it. We tend to look at Scotty and think that he can't do the things someone like James can do, but it works the other way, too. Scotty's performance last night was one of the best last night and his best of the competition. I'm generally not a fan, but I'm not a hater. I get it.

James has been the best Idol for the whole show, He has added his metal touch to every song he's done, way better and with more pizazz than Scotty has added with his country style.
Oh well, at least I can agree that this will hopefully be the last season. -

I was never a fan of Durban but he grew on me as the season went on. Aside from the enormous sales potential of the country crowd, he had the most potential to sell records imo. I have always said that i love what Haley does and i really enjoy her style but as far as pop music goes, her potential is more limited commercially. Hell, i am a huge Casey fan as far as talent goes but talent is not what this show is about. It's about pop music potential because thats what sells records.

If you watched the guest performances tonight, that was pretty obvious. Whole lot of suck there but i guess they sell records and thats all that record producers care about.
I'm really shocked that James got voted out and even more shocked that Haley is still in it, but i can't say that I'm disappointed. -

Haley has a great personality and great voice. She's sassy and exudes confidence. We're seeing women like Adele and Jessie J getting a ton of radio airplay. I think she has a lot of potential as a pop star, where image, personality and uniqueness (both as a person and a vocalist) are critical. I think she has it all.

I don't think Haley would handle the pressure/fame/money too well. I think she's bound to turn out to be a brittney spears/Lindsay Lohan in the longrun (although obv not that famous).Originally Posted by marinersheep

I was kind of meh on Haley tonite until the last song, and she really won me over (again)
Lauren is great at what she does. Love her innocence and her pure voice.
Scotty has grown on me more every week. His stage presence is getting better and his voice is just as good as country gets. This kid has money written all over him.
It's between Haley and Lauren for who goes home. I'm gonna have to guess its gg Lauren. -

If trying to do an unoriginal cover is what it takes to win, then yes, Haley knocked it out of the park on that last song (even though her voice cracked and faded out early on).
I'm sick of these judges, same comments after everyone's performance. I don't even care who wins. This season is worthless now. -
Judges are pretty strange this year. I really didnt like Haleys performance of the Zepplin classic and they all loved it. Different strokes i guess.

You guys are a tough crowd. I think all three are pretty good, but especially Scotty and Hailey. It's amazing how much better they get over the course of the show with a little professional help.
There will be several in the top ten that end up doing well for themselves in music. -

Seriously, fuck the judges and show producers and their love for Lauren. They made it seem like she had an amazing night vocally, when imo there was nothing that impressive about her performances. And the part where she went to her mom and hugged her was the cheesiest shit ever.

She was far better than Scotty, though. He just stands up there and talks with a beat behind him. He's probably the dullest performer in Idol history. He gave little effort tonight while Lauren sang her heart out.
