It's my weekend to work...which means 7-7 and most likely a lack of OT tomorrow and Sunday. If my pick comes around, just let another Titans person draft for them. I may as well resign from this draft...it just didn't go near as well as the ones in the past...and I lost interest due to other reasons.
Sorry guys -
With the 50th pick of the 2012 OT Mock NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Kendall Reyes, DT, UConn

The Bears need to improve along the D-line and haven't done anything in free agency to help. All signs point to them not resigning Amobi Okoye and they already let Anthony Adams go. Julius Peppers can't do it all himself. Reyes is a great value at this position and can contribute immediately, adding depth where the Bears sorely need it. -
Updated the OP with the picks. Eagles back on the clock. Sorry I've been a bit busy the past two days. This draft started 12 days ago, and it is a bit disappointing we haven't wrapped it up yet...but there's time to get it done before the actual draft! I've been sending PMs to people when it is their turn, I can't do much more.
I appreciate the support and participation from those of you who are helping me keep this thing going. Should be interesting to see how the actual draft pans out. -
How bout this

suck my fucking ball bag -
Ok but before I come over there can you make sure your ball bag didn't leave in free agency too?

Thats a fuckin excellent pick and a steal at 51. He will be gone 15-20 picks before this spot in the actual draft tho. -
I've already made like 3 picks this round. Someone else wanna jump in?

Sorry guys -
It's too bad Gregg Williams got the banhammer. With him coaching Finnegan in St. Louis, Andre Johnson might have been stabbed on a fly route if the Rams had ever played Houston.

nice shout out to my alma mater bud :) def need to address the DE position... this could be a possibility, but I think unlikely to follow a Poe pick (obv may not happen)...

sorry I'm not available to pick, Randers and kellykip can bring it home... -
With the 52nd Pick, the Titans select Zach Brown, OLB, North Carolina
Edited By: OneM24 Apr 8th, 2012 at 03:58 PM
Brown has raw athleticism which can't be overlooked. However, he needs to become a bit more physical and figure out the pass coverage a bit more. With a 4.44 40, and 33.5 verticle, this guy has raw talent and the upside is there. The question is, can it be developed? Brown is a boom or bust type of player, and we will see what he turns into. With the young talent at LB including Ayers and McCarthy, whom were both rookies last year, Brown could be the addition needed to create one young and very scary LB corps in the future.

With the 53rd pick, the Bengals select Chris Givins, WR, Wake Forest

MikeB with the write up later
With the 54th pick, the Lions select Bobby Wagner, OLB, Utah State

Shallowcal will do the write up later.
With the 55th pick, the Falcons select Bobby Massie, OT, Mississippi

Steelers on the clock! -
With the 54th pick, the Lions select Bobby Wagner, OLB, Utah State

Wagner will play immediately for the Lions. They need depth at the LB position especially with De'Andre Levy's injury prone ass. The lions rush defense was abysmal last season, and they need a tackling machine like Wagner. His stock dropped because he was sick and missed the combine, but when he worked out for scouts he posted GREAT times in the 40 yard dash and did well in the broad and vertical jump. Being able to come to detroit and learn the system from a great defensive mind like THE SCHWARTZ will benefit him greatly.

What is going on? Are the Steelers on the clock?
-
Yep, Steelers on the clock. Apparently PGHfan isn't going to make the pick. Anybody else can make it if they want to. At this point I don't really care. This is a bit ridiculous...

It just tilts me to no end that nick foles gets no love anywhere I'm almost positive hell b a better NFL qback than luck or weeden but that's just me flametime
-
I think if the browns go with Trent Richardson in the 1st, they will pick Foles in the 2nd.
-
Honestly if I were the Browns, I wouldn't even bother with a 1st-2nd round QB after failing to land RG3. You have 3 picks in the top 37. Coming off a couple of really good drafts, this is a major opportunity to really build a contender. Adding another mediocre QB doesn't really help them from where they are now. In fact, adding someone like Weeden could be detrimental to a team like the Browns who may end up convincing themselves to give him 2 years to try and become a franchise QB (similar to how they let it ride with McCoy last year instead of drafting a QB high). If they didn't take a 2nd tier QB this year, then they pretty much have no choice but to do it next year (speeding up the learning curve in the process).

I would've obv gone for RG3 but having failed I would keep improving the other positions of the team, and if McCoy tanked this year target a top tier QB next year. I think that's a way better strategy than adding a 2nd tier QB this year knowing you'll draft a 1st tier QB next year anyway if your team sucks again (which is usually the case with rookie QB's). -
I hate when people talk about someone having a great pro day. Has anyone ever had a bad pro day? Seriously, It's always so and so looked great at their pro day. When literally every single player in the history of pro days no matter what kind of nfl career they have had afterward had a great pro day then you have to start putting little to no weight at all in them. It's the stupidest fucking thing ever.

i agree with this. no sense in setting your franchise back 10 years (cough cough joey harrington).

With the 56th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select ....

LaMichael James, RB, University of Oregon. James has been projected by many scouts as a third or fourth round talent because of his lack of size, but after running a 4.45 40-yard-dash at the combine - second among running backs - he demonstrated that he has the elite speed necessary to become an effective change-of-pace back in the NFL. James' speed becomes a nice complement to Rashard Mendenhall's power, which is reminiscent of the Jerome Bettis/ Willie Parker and the Bam Morris/ Pee Wee Pegram backfields of Steelers' past. -
Let's see if we can get this going again. Broncos on the clock!
-
With the 57th pick in the 2012 OT NFL Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select:
Brandon Thompson, DT, Clemson

This is largely a need-based pick for the Broncos, but with the DT position being so deep in this year's draft, Thompson at #57 is a good value for a team that desperately needs help in the trenches. Thompson is a disruptive 311-pounder with great hands who can hold the line of scrimmage and give LBs like Miller and Dumervil a chance to do what they do best.

Texans up. Randers? Waco?
