so 1999 - 2003..you are 30..maybe older a bit younger? i was trying to remember posts and i think ill go with older than 30..not that it matters. kelly clarkson is still the shit and the best gd american idol..all these other failures suck a d..more like runner ups do better overall..

Sighhhh I'm not 30 yet. 9 more months. I honestly didn't watch this show until like season 5 or so.

I don't know anyone who has auditioned because I know no one with talent (lol) but I wonder if they have to sign a clause saying they won't try out for X-Factor or if we will see some of their rejects.

tivo'd and just watched it...They didnt really focus on the idiots as much this episode as they usually do. Nothing terribly exciting, though. I agree with mariner that the Philip Philips is mcuh much better with the guitar than without, but he'll go deep probably since they built him up to be the best thing ever.

that guy cursed himself by whipping that out for an audition like the kid a few years back who covered the paula abdul song(which everyone lost their shit about) and sucked ass on everything else he did. if he is truely talented, he would save that version of thriller for MJ week and let your voice speak for itself in your audition. i've seen a philip philips at nearly every local bar i've ever been to, dime a dozen. i agree, I feel like he will be a guy that keeps getting through based on potential, not how he actually performed that week.

And the guy who did the remix of Straight Up wasn't nearly as good which is why that was his high point. My point being that if you are good enough to win then you don't need to hold back your "good" performances until the end. So if that guy from last night is good enough to win, it won't matter that he already sounded good on his guitar.

Watching now. Two comments thus far....why in the world would anyone think that planking while their sister sings for her audition is going to be +ev?! Also figures that the dude with bunny ears is repping Queens, sigh.

So far my two favorites are the first girl from yesterday (I don't remember her name but it was the first audition of the season iirc) and Phillip Phillips. His parents and grandparents must have been smoking mucho crack to not only name their kid that name but continue passing down the inevitable jokes to the next generation.
