  1. This is going to be pretty long...hopefully I won't bore you too bad.

    Most Intriguing Game

11 Kansas St. vs 6 USC

Two of the top freshman in the nation with Beasley and O.J Mayo. Beasley is one of the most dynamic scorers that college basketball has ever seen. Hes as unstoppable as it gets. Billy Walker has been the problem for them all year. He just hasn't stepped up to be that solid #2 guy that Beasley needs to take this team on a championship run. The team has also really struggled down the stretch since beating Kansas. USC is playing great basketball right now ever since horrendous loss to Washington St. by 24pts they have really put it together beating Oregon, Arizona, Arizona St, Cal, Stanford and losing to UCLA by only 3 pts in the Pac-10 semi-final game. They're very well coached and play great half-court basketball and I really like Mayo's game when he plays under control.

    Pick: USC

    Upsets

    14 Georgia over 3 Xavier

This is by far the biggest longshot that I have as an upset. A big upset happens every year and this one appears to be the most likely to me. Xavier is one of the most overrated teams in the tournament and it's sick that they got a 3 seed over 4 seed UConn. They have only 3 good non-conference wins against Kansas St, Indiana and Kent St. None of these teams are even close to power house teams. They lost to Saint Josephs twice and they're decent at best. Georgia is not a very good basketball team but right now they're playing with great confidence and have always been a solid team defensively. There shooting is very inconsistent but if they come out hot look for them to win this game.

12 Temple over 5 Michigan State

Not a huge fan of Temple but i'm even lower on Michigan State. If you want to talk about the most inconsistent team in the NCAA you have to with Michigan State. They never seem to bring there A game and are absolutley terrible when they aren't shooting well. They have a couple of bad losses with Iowa and Penn St. They could only score 36pts on Iowa? Temple is playing very well right now coming off a huge A-10 conference win. Christmas is an excellent scorer and they're pretty solid on the glass but they also aren't the most consistent team. If Michigan St. starts off slow look for Temple to control the whole game.

    Sweet 16

EAST- North Carolina, George Mason, Louisville, Tennessee

    MIDWEST- Kansas, Clemson, USC, Georgetown

    SOUTH- Memphis, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Texas

WEST- UCLA, Connecticut, Purdue, West Virginia (That's right no Duke)

    FINAL FOUR

    Tennesee

    Kansas

    Stanford

    UCLA

    KANSAS FTW!!!

    Random Thoughts

F UCLA and the easiest road to the Final Four in college basketball history.

    South has the toughest bracket.

I have USC in the Elite 8

Duke is terrible this year and will not make the elite 8.

George Mason makes it to the sweet 16 again!

Pittsburgh vs Memphis will be one of the best Sweet 16 games in college basketball history.

Don't take my predictions too seriously predicting the college tourney is the hardest thing in sports.
  2. lolz at UT beating UNC
  3. ^^ thats what I was going to say
  4. Everyone is going to sleep on Xavier, which is why I love them advancing to my elite 8
  5. Mississippi State is going to beat Memphis in the 2nd round. Mark my words. I will put up 50 bucks to any takers. If Memphis loses, you owe me 100.
  6. lmao at Stanford coming out of the South.
  7. George Mason sux this year, i so love that everyone is picking them as an upset, keep that line low so the Big East player of the year can thump Thomas.
  8. I like your predictions. Obv I am biased, but TN is a good ball club.

Everyone seems to be picking GA over Xavier, I'm not feeling it.

The Temple upset is very interesting, but I like it.

  9. I will take it Zien. If Oregon beats MSU in 1st round, you still owe me $50.

  10. lol @ nearly half of the elite 8 being a Pac 10 team.
  11. deal, but I'm going to want someone trustworthy to hold the funds. Find one and you got it
  12. Looking at ur 3 picks, its basically a home game for KSU, they are playing in Big 12 country, I do not see USC winning this - The other two games, if you look historically at pass conf tourney winners who weren't one of the top seeds in their tourney you will see they do not fair well in their first game of the tourney, I think I'm oppo on all 3 of your games, but we will have to wait and see..... Texas is going to the Final Four, they are basically playing at home all tourney and have two of the best guards in the country.....
Also, watch out for Pitt in round one, that will be a close game and they may lose it.....

why is that lol, the pac-10 owns (except for arizona)
  14. Pitt will absolutley not lose in the 1st game they're far to physical for Oral Roberts. I really like Texas actually but the Lopez twins are going to absolutley eat up Texas front-line and Stanford will come out on top. Teams that rebound the basketball very well are good tournament teams and thats something Stanford does very well.

George Mason over Washington St. is a stretch but I think they play confident enough to do it. People say George Mason isn't very good this year but you have understand that they fear nobody anymore after last year and thats huge when you're the underdog.

I love all the UNC fans that think you're unstoppable. The ACC is horrible this year and to be honest you all caught sooo many breaks late in games you should have 5 losses. Only team that caught more breaks was UCLA.

The NCAA is sooo biased for UNC, Duke and UCLA its fucking sick.

The Kansas St. vs USC game is gonna be very good but you forget how one dimensional Kansas St really is and Tim Floyd is one of the best coaches in the business and will find a way to neutralize him. If Walker steps up and gets the crowd into it then obviously Kansas St can easily win this game.

  15. official threads need to be surrounded by no fewer than 3 asterisks (***). The word OFFICIAL should preferably be in all caps. kthxbye.
  16. The Pac 10 is good. They won't have nearly half of the Tournament's remaining teams by the Elite 8, though. I don't like USC or Stanford making it that deep, and wouldn't be shocked if neither makes the Sweet 16, either.
  17. I think a lot of people are sleeping on Xavier. This is basically the same team who was one basket away from defeating Ohio ST last year in the elite 8. However i do see why people are picking against them since they lost to St. Joes twice.
  18. Yes, schools and teams hire Tim Floyd for his X's and O's prowess, not because he attracts star players who he lets walk all over him. Great, great coach. One of the best in the business for sure.

And yes, the NCAA purposely stacks its brackets to let UNC, Duke and UCLA all advance. I can't believe nobody else is catching on that all of the other good teams got put in one bracket to help clear the path for the aforementioned three teams to coast into the finals. Sick bias.
  19. The pac 10 will go 6-0 in the first round. Write it down and parlay it.

Yes, it is all rigged. Mb pull your head out of your ass and realize that #1 seeds are supposed to have the easiest road to the final four, that is their reward for dominating all season. Also, how the hell is it "rigged" to let UCLA and Duke advance when they are in the same region, hmmm, such conundruments.
