  1. walt's attitude about the 'legacy costs' pissed me off. and mike shoulda explained it better. they cannot do business at all without paying those costs unless they wanna kill all eight of them.

another shitty thing is the split. jesse and walt are just cooking, mike is the one doing the real work. and the cooks get 2/3 of the profit? pretty terrible deal for mike imo. I can get over this though.

loved badger and skinny pete making an appearance, pete was rocking those keys.

and walt's final speech referencing icarus could be just a general observation about himself - it could be a red herring and not about mike. there's no way they (walt and jesse) could move 50 lb./week without mike, they already tried that at way lesser volume and failed terribly.

one more thing, their product should be worth a bit more now. supply and demand, there was 200 lb/week coming outta the duke - now it's just 50 lb/week, price should go up some.

  2. Todd has a "major" role this season, I'm thinking he might be an undercover cop, which would make things interesting.

Also, I predict skyler murdering walt in the final episode.

  3. The whole "there's a nanny Cam, I disabled it" thing bugged me. Mostly because during the whole setup I had been thinking about the problem of home surveilance, and how they would get around that. But I guess if the pest killers are really "Top Shelf Second Story men", they should be all over that kind of thing.

Overall a weak episode IMO, and I definitely agree that watching Breaking Bad in one episode lots is a very different experience than watching seasons altogether. DVD/streaming seasons has changed the format, and I think great shows are writing to that experience, which makes for masterful seasons, but sometimes frustrating episodes.

I hope that's the case at least.
  4. Undercover cop would make things stupid, not interesting.
    Mike doesnt let that happen.

Mike has guys. Gus had guys. Walt needs guys. He likes Lance

I would stop watching the series all together if he was an undercover cop

Didn't Saul say they have been together for 5 years? That's pretty long to be undercover for a 2 bit B&E operation.

  12. Straight from amc.com

    Alias: "Todd"
    Real Name: Lance
    Origins: Dillon, TX
Bio: Lance grew up as an outcast in the heart of football country. After several misguided attempts at making a name for himself, Lance finally snapped. Following a truly unnecessary killing spree, Lance fled to New Mexico where he assumed the name Todd and began a life of crime, vowing to forever hide his darker past.

Why would it be stupid. Saul has been fighting these guys' court cases for 5 years. They are constantly selling inside info to theives and whatnot. It makes entirely perfect sense that the cops might wanna have a guy on the inside. Lame maybe, but not stupid.

I was thinking what about nanny cams then this dude answered my question, I doubt he is a cop and that would be weak if that is how they get taken down but I could see them getting caught stealing anyway then rolling on Mike. HOw do you ask a bunch of crooks to not steal shit????

  17. By paying them $10k each per week ideally
  18. $10K/week will buy a lotta compliance. put yourself in their place, are you gonna go against mike? the manner that he addressed them made it clear how things were going to go if there was ever a problem.

and he is paying them more than they could ever make w their b & e shit. and they don't have the risks that come with stealing.

no way todd is a cop.
  19. 30k..10k each. way more lucrative than petty larceny
  20. yea but how bout 10K from mike and some robbery cash on the side..

my guess is he still winds up as a soldier for Walt.. maybe it'll come from Lance's doing something shady, WW catching him and gaining his loyalty by keeping his mouth shut.

the thing in the preview that made me think: is we saw JESSE with Lydia.
    a) she mentioned that she hadnt ever met the Chemist and thus couldnt target him in her litte hit.
    b) why are they getting involved together at this point.

Im afraid it will be another contrived scenario

and Mike said the next batch of methylmene will cost them? huh? the price of the methylmene should be not murking that cunt.

I also was never sure why everyone just assumes Mike was giving WW and Jesse a fair shake with the money. and if Im WW, Im certainly suspicious of any added expenses from the guy who hates me.

  21. I hope that they explore Gus's backstory a little bit (The cartel boss in the season 4 flashback said that the only reason that he killed the friend and not Gus was bc they knew who Gus was) . His history in Chile during the Pinochet administration is pretty interesting.

That Lydia, the woman with the methylene hookup, was so adamant about Mike not making her "disappear," might hint at something related to all of Pinochet's forced disappearances.

def picked up on that, even the tone he said it in was kinda off / funny.

I really dont think so. Just didnt want her daughter to think she abandoned her.

But Id really like Gus's untouchability to be explained. Seems pretty clear like it's coming with all the digging the pigs are now doing
  24. does anyone think there is any chance walt doesnt get killed by the end of S5? seems like it is a given its just how that remains to be seen. If not I will be mildly upset.
  25. It wouldnt be right at all narratively if WW survives the series.

Thinking we might see him tooling up for a war after his 52nd but before that happens, he gets killed by something innoucous.

Maybe he gets caught up in one of the fumigation houses and his worn lungs give out.

Skylar also seems poised to take some sort of action.Walt in her life is just destroying her. Maybe she uses his cancer as a cover to kill him.

  26. Walt's cancer now is the fact that he broke bad now.

Is there anything that can put his new condition in remission? I think the death of a child could be a catalyst, but this dude is pretty warped.

PS. LOL at all of this shit happening (much less Walt's transformation) in a 1 year time frame. Cheezus.

  27. i wanted to punch ww in the face when he was sitting on the couch with brock. crazy how i went from pulling for ww and against jesse in the beginning to against ww/for jesse now
  28. Watching scarface he mentioned 'everybody dies'. That's what happens, mass genocide by whatever means gilligan sees fit.
  29. I hope they're above making things THAT obvious.

However, I thought they were better than putting Scarface right in the show.

Id still make a larger wager that Jesse survives the series.
