While its true that I am an Iowa fan, Im not basing my prediction on that alone. Vegas doesnt build 3 billion dollar hotels because they lose...There is a reason that Iowa is a TD favorite. And they are baiting the casual bettor to play MSU here. Same goes for Nebraska/Missouri. People see the undefeated higher ranked team getting points and cant wait to give their money away. You almost have to think backwards when lines come out that make no sense. So like I said before, Iowa by at least 14 today...and Nebraska will blow out Missouri as well.

I saw the thread but dont have much $$ online and since Im back in Michigan on my inlaws comp, wouldnt be able to ship till end of next week when I get back home to San Diego. Dont feel like dealing with it all and waiting til a week later and shit.....

I really doubt hes playing today. He had .5 beers too many, really dont understand why he is even a big deal? He served his time, now he needs to sit another game because like you said he cant go from jail to game time but he should be with the team and he should play after this week.

You don't understand how it's a big deal? You're the only quasi-rational MSU fan on here, but that title seems to be slipping away.

Last year Glenn Winston hospitalized a kid. Charged with assault. He's let back on the team. I think it sucks, but as you and I have discussed on here before, this happens basically everywhere. I think way too many programs are too lax about stuff like that. But whatever, no need to go off on a tangent. Anyway, Winston hospitalizes someone -- so bad that said assault victim misses an entire season of hockey -- and he's back on the team.

Chris L. Rucker gets suspended from the team last year for his role in a mass assault at a dorm. Winston is involved. Winston is booted. He blew his second chance. A bunch of other players are charged. They're all back on the team.

When Rucker is let back, Dantonio specifically talks about his "zero tolerance" policy, likely spurred by Winston's gaffe. As part of Rucker's assault charges, he has terms of parole to follow. Part of that is no alcohol whatsoever.

So Rucker not only drinks, he drinks and drives. He hits a car. He blows over the legal limit. This violates his parole. Even if not on parole, it's an OWI. He pleads down so he doesn't have to deal with destruction of property/leaving the scene of an accident.

This is a crime. He goes to jail. This would seemingly violate a "zero tolerance" policy for a repeat offender, no?

No. Rucker is a starter. He's released from jail Thursday. He's reinstated to the team on Thursday. He's on a flight to Iowa Friday, and Dantonio is quoted as saying it's up to Rucker if he wants to play Saturday.

What a disciplinarian.
