I mean very good is underestimating his shot blocking...he does completely shut down people even looking at the lane at times. But Craft is such a ball hawk...he makes every dribble uncomfortable for whoever he is guarding.

I'd still say Davis is #1...but I think Craft would be a clear #2 and that it's debatable.

In just his 19th college game, Kentucky freshman Anthony Davis has set the UK single-season record for blocks with 84.

I like Craft and he's a beast on defense, but comparing him to Davis is kinda crazy.

trust me, it's been a love/hate relationship all year. he's had some pretty terrible games this season, but you're right, this one's gotta be the worst.

fwiw tho, people have overrated him for a while cuz of how many pts he's scored in his (long) career and how good he sometimes looks... especially early on this year before DT had established himself as our #2 guy. but the dude just doesn't have the "it" factor at all. a big part of me won't miss him in the least.

You realize there's more to being a complete defender than blocking shots, right? I'm not saying he can't guard on the ball, but if you had the best shot blocker in the world who had no shot of stopping a guy from going by him, he'd cost his team as many points as he saves.

Sullinger might be your leader, but Thomas is the most talented player on the team. Ive said it for a while now. Thomas will be a better pro than Sullinger.

Whoaa are people actually saying there is a debate for best defensive player in the nation? Davis is tied for 28th in the TEAM ranking for # of blocks with 166 and he has a chance to be in the top 15 by the end of the year.

With that said, I agree Craft is the best perimeter defender and is probably the overall second best in the country. Davis is on another level tho
