OT TEAM TOURNEY COMPETITION!!


Beginning Sunday, Feb 1st at 12:00 am and concluding
Saturday, Feb 28th at 11:59 pm.

The buy-in with be:

$65 per high stakes player
$25 per mid stakes player
$10 per micro-God

Winning team takes all. $$ is divided up amongst winning team members, in proportion to their entry fee paid. Only people that have paid their money in advance can be eligible to be picked. Money is to be shipped to me by NOON (ET) on Wednesday Jan 14th. I can accept $$ only on Stars (username acpce1 (Columbia) (that's the number 1, not letter "L"), FTP (username MUPokerPlayer)). Please PM me when you have paid. If you don't get picked, you get your money shipped back, or you can try to assemble your own team provided you get the right amount of players.

One month, top 10 results count towards OT LeaderBoard points, unlimited # of tournaments in the time span given. Only sites eligible are Stars, FTP, Bodog, and UB. You can play any style of games: NLHE, limit HE, PLO, O 8/b, HORSE, Stud, etc. but the tourney must have > 100 players to be eligible

Teams made up of X (tenatively) players (Will be broken down to correct number of members after the payment deadline):

X micro-Gods (are eligible to play any freezout from $1-$10 or rebuy $5 and under)
X midstakes (" " $10-$75, or rebuy from $20 and under)
X highstakes (" " $40 - up, or rebuy $10 and up)

This will be a draft style, where we will pick some of the high stakes players to be captains. We'll do random draft order, and draft 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. You can draft any player of any stakes in any order (i.e, you can start by picking a micro person if you want). If we don't have enough high stakes players for 2 per team, we may need to drop it to one high stakes player and 2 mid and 2 low (or 1 high, 2 mid, 3 micro, or however it works out the best depending on the distribution of players and what stakes they want)

Touraments must have at least 100 players. SNGS (including 180 man SNGS) will NOT count.

# of wins
Stars TLB point system

I went with Stars TLB because another competition (Blonde's MTT competition) will be using it .. so I'm confident that it's the best one to use. From his post:

"We are using pokerstars TLB point system, so for purposes of checking the individual scores, all tournaments must be tracked on the pokerdb at http://www.bluffmagazine.com/thepokerdb/ to count. The pokerdb has always been the most accurate data base, so I'm confident your scores will be spot on. If by chance a tournament is not on thepokerdb for whatever reason, the results of that tournament will NOT count towards your score. *EDIT* I am aware some tournaments award points in some instances without cashing. We are only going to count points where the player actually finishes ITM"

Each player's top 10 OT LeaderBoard point scores will count towards their team. Each team will be ranked in each stake category at the end 1 through 6 (or however many teams we end up getting) in all the categories.

For example:

Team A's high stake players get the following:
3 FT
0 Wins
PLB score - 100

Team B's high stakes players get:
2 FT
2 Wins
Plb Score -200

Team A gets 4 points for high stakes (2+1+1)
Team B gets 5 points (1+2+2)

Team A's Midstakes receive:
6 FT
4 W
PLB score -250

Team B's Midstakes receive:
3 FT
2 W
PLB score -150

Team A gets 6 points for Midstakes (2+2+2)
Team B gets 3 points for Midstakes (1+1+1)

Team A Low Stakes receive:
8 FT
6 W
PLB score - 250

Team B Low Stakes receive:
7 FT
6 W
PLB score -300

Team A receives 4.5 pts for lowstakes (2+1.5+1)
Team B receives 4.5 pts for lowstakes (1+1.5+2)

Team A has 14.5 points total (4+6+4.5)
Team B has 12.5 points total (5+3+4.5)

Team A would win.

I do it this way so that Low Stakes, Mid Stakes, and High Stakes players are all valuable. Otherwise, one High Stakes player could single handedly win the contest with a ridiculous PLB score, or multiple wins. It takes an entire team effort to pull out a victory.

The dealine for signing up and shipping the money to MUPP (acpce1 on stars, MUPokerPlayer on FTP) to be NOON (EST) ON Jan 14th. This will give the captains enough time to do research as to who they would like to choose. NO LATE PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

The Captains will be responsible for being around during the draft. I REALLY, REALLY don't want to have days go by while one person is still on the clock. I know sometimes shit happens that you can't control and that's fine. But if you KNOW you're hardly ever going to be around Jan 15thish, please don't apply to be a captain (or apply and tell me, just make sure you tell me)
