Arent you pointing out here in this post that you think CPAC is purposely devising a new voting system to try and get someone else to win the poll other than Ron Paul?

The organizers of a major conservative conference here over the next three days are trying to widen participation in a straw poll, a not-too-subtle attempt to give a Republican presidential candidate other than Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) a chance to win.

I understand that you are getting your information from the article, but by restating it, and not giving any commentary to the contrary, you are stating that you believe what the article is saying is true. That CPAC is intentionally changing the system so Ron Paul can't win.
-
Again, from the article:

Not to keep him from winning but to give others a better shot at winning. I'm not even saying I disagree with doing it this way. Making it more representative isn't a bad thing. Its more that I am just stating the reality of what will result from it. They probably had thought of doing this for a while and this year's race has made it more important for those in the establishment who would rather Paul not gain momentum from this straw poll."In the past, to his credit, about 80, 90, 100 percent of people who were there and liked Ron Paul voted, and probably a very small percentage of those who liked others bothered to vote."
-
just sounded like a complaint from you, thats all. You should have said "they are switching the voting process yada yada in order to get more people to vote, this should really help RP imo." But you had to point out the "to make it harder for rp to win" part so it would fit with your 'everything is a conspiracy against ron' narrative. Splitting it up into different posts muddled the point you were trying to make in an effort to be sensational.

Apparently it was one of their highest rated shows. Info here if you want to register your complaint with FBN.

My girl and I were watching freedom watch last night and I said to her how I couldn't believe fox news (or any cable news network) would air this show.... -
Ok, bold prediction time. I predict Ron Paul gets his first "win" Saturday in Maine. Of course nevermind the fact that he is likely to win the most delegates in Iowa and Minnesota. People are underestimating his chances to win or be a big player in Tampa due to the media not knowing how a caucus works and thinking that these straw polls mean anything when the delegates get selected at each state's convention.
-
Oh wow! THat's cool. I was just tracking the Intrade sight and watching his numbers climb over the past week.

Rachel Maddow says Paul might be winning the delegate count!

yeah can't say im surprised. maybe he'll get picked up by CNN or MSNBC? Fox picked up Dobbs after CNN dumped him.
-
ohhh Rachel, please talk about it like it's some scheming way to do things.

My caucus - no one left after the straw poll and there was only one non-Paul supporter that wanted to be a delegate. That is where Paul wins, a majority of his supporters will spend a Saturday at a BPOU caucus, a Saturday at the County caucus, and two days at the State caucus, if it means getting him elected. The other candidates supporters (generalities) want to come in vote in the straw poll, maybe vote for a delegate or two but then they want to go home. -
where can i see results of all the caucus polls so far? my google skills apparently arent up to par this morning

This thing is wide open. Latest PPP Poll somehow says Santorum is at 38% and Romney is at 23%. People are jumping from Romney. And they are going to jump from Santorum once people actually realize what he stands for. Which candidate is going to be left for them to jump to?

Rick Santorum On Opposition To Abortion In Cases Of Rape: 'Make The Best Out Of A Bad Situation'
GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum explained his opposition to abortion even in cases of rape during an interview Friday, saying that women who face such circumstances should "make the best out of a bad situation."
Asked by CNN's Piers Morgan what he would do if his own daughter approached him, begging for an abortion after having been raped, Santorum explained that he would counsel her to "accept this horribly created" baby, because it was still a gift from God, even if given in a "broken" way.
"Well, you can make the argument that if she doesn't have this baby, if she kills her child, that that, too, could ruin her life. And this is not an easy choice, I understand that. As horrible as the way that that son or daughter and son was created, it still is her child. And whether she has that child or she doesn't, it will always be her child, and she will always know that," Santorum said.
