  2. I'm going to post this here because I've become increasingly pissed off about it all day.

I went to pick up Brandon Jackson at 12:30 AM last night--before the announcement that he was out for the year. I had a feeling it was way more serious than people thought.

I completed the transaction, only to find out that it didn't go through because Defendrofangels picked him up at 12:24 AM.

taids456 sucks for not having waivers turned on...that's all.
  3. same thing here Jroth, went to grab Naanee and of course everyone has been picked up already in all of his leagues cuz of the no waivers.......
  4. kuhn>jackson.

dont bother picking jackson up people, hell start this week, suck, and kuhn(or someone via trade) will start rest of season

  5. CJ vs PIT
    Benson vs BAL
    S Greene vs NE

    FML
  6. Here is a doozy:

Joe Flacco vs CIN (whom Tom Brady raped on Sunday)

    or

McNabb vs HOU (whom Peyton Manning raped on Sunday)

I realize neither of these guys are Manning or Brady, but who has the most upside this week?

Flacco has WRs on his team.

Flacco looked very rusty for a while last night, made some bad throws (esp overthrowing wide open dude in endzone). But, it was the first game of the season, i expect him to be much sharper as we go forward, like he was late in the game.

It has a lot more to do with his opponent than it being the first game of the season (although it did factor somewhat id think). Balt averages 24-27 pts a game from here on out. Don't mix up all of us picking on Jets fans for all the shit they've been talking for over a month with the Jets actually being bad. That defense is top top, Balt couldnt run the ball, and there was a ton of pressure. Nobody will make Baltimores offense look that bad again imo.

I definitely agree and hope we're both right, since I'm banking on Joe Flacco and Ray Rice in our OT league :)
  11. Yeah im guessing over 80% of all FF players put in a waiver for B. Jackson

I'm in a league that has no waivers, and its the worst system EVER. I usually go out and watch the day games at a Bar here in Costa Rica... with a 19" TV and spanish commentary at my house its basically my only option. But im utterly F'd in that league for all pickups because half the teams watch the games in front of their laptop and you can insta drop/pick up players at any point. So by the time I get home at night all of the days surprise studs are already on teams. Waivers are the only fair way to play it.

    Disagree...Kuhn is a fullback/goalline/play-action-sneak-out-to-the-corner-of-the-endzone-when-nobody-is-looking type of back.

Jackson can run the ball and catch it out of the backfield...McCarthy said earlier in the preseason that it was only a matter of time before Jackson was an every down back in the NFL. Looks like he's going to get his chance now.
  14. RBs

    T Hightower @ATL

    or R Bush @SF
  15. agree. one of my leagues is this way while 5 of them arent. and the ony guy in the league who prob watched all the games cuz he doesn't play much poker insta snagged jackson. meanwhile everyone else was playing poker and didnt find out about grant til late last night or today.

on the other hand, im at least 11th on waivers in other 5 leagues lol, so didn't work out either way for me.

side note, i went 2-3 in my teams this weak, with my 3 losses i had top 3 or 4 in points and played top 1 or 2 team in points(two of them i was 2nd vs 1st). fml, but outlook for season is good i suppose

haha yah you have it way worse than me...that sucks.
  18. One of my megaleague teams are interesting.

I have Cutler, then a WR group of Colston, SimsWalker, Floyd, and more shit. I did like what I saw from Floyd, as he was targeted a decent amount and in the red zone, but ffs sims walker lol. Got the #1 waiver so getting Jackson to go along with Mendenhall, DAW, Ronnie Brown and Caddy.

What kind of WRs do you think I could package like Jackson + Floyd to someone with rb issues for?

  19. Is Cotchery still worth a bench spot? On another note I picked up Mike Thomas from JAX. You guys like the pickup?

  21. 3 WR, 2 rb's, 1 flex.

I've got Sims-Walker, H. Ward, S. Moss staring for my WR's, and RB's of Gore, Jackson, Best (in the flex).

My bench is Owens, Meachem, Houshmandzadeh, M. Williams (seattle), and Hightower.

Owens is projected to get more points, but I'm still holding out on Sims-Walker to fucking do something. And I just picked up Williams so I'm not too sure what to do with him, if anything but sit and wait.

    Advice?!?

I would think you could get a mid-level tier 1 out of those?? Maybe not quite a Roddy White, but maybe a Boldin or Steve Smith or Greg Jennings??

  24. i think mike thomas just had a good week because sims walker was the main focus of champ and the other dude(forget his name).

i think sims walker will obv do better in weeks to come and thomas wont have much value unless in a deep league

  25. the only game Cotchery might be worthy of a start is the Buffalo game in Week 4. After that, Holmes is back and he is the 3rd WR on what looks to be a terrible offense....you can cut him loose and not expect anyone to snap him up for now
  26. David Garrard supposedly LOVES Mike Thomas...he's been raving about him all preseason, and clearly looked to target him quite a bit in week 1.

He won't have much value in shallow leagues, but given how much MSW gets hurt, he certainly has some value.
  27. im pissed at sims walker and hes benched this week for Naanee
  28. nobody has really given me anything there, other than agreeing with me that we're all waiting for MSW to fucking do something.

TO looked garbage out there as well against NE though.

    wtf do i do here?

    that'll show him!!!

i have him in all 3 of my leagues.....i actually won one of them
  30. he might earn his spot back by later this week tho, lol

hostile, i would just leave it like that. Do not like TO at all against Balt def. If you were to sit MSW, maybe Meachem. SF coudlnt stop anyone on seatle, saints could light em up. still pob just leave it as is
