I vote for the moniker "Phillies" to be the dumbest team name in existence. Were all Philadelphians in 1884 retarded or something? Now introducing, the New York Yorkers - the Boston Bostonians! Doesn't sound too good, does it? Should have stuck with the Quakers. Unless of course the creators at the time were just putting a clever spin on filly. But that would make them female horses which is obv ghey. The only other team that comes close to this is the Los Angeles Angels (but they're really Anaheim/California). So which is it, Phillies fans.. was/is your team just incredibly uncreative or mentally challenged? I won't get started on your abortion of a mascot. I eagerly await your articulate responses and correspondent shellacking of the NYY. :)
