if there is one good thing that might come from this terrible playoffs*, it's that managers might see the advantage of using premier relievers in the 5th,6th,7th innings.

Have to give credit to the brewers for going for it this past offseason and not being content with .500. I wish more teams had the balls t do that.

these are 2 extremely potent lineups capable of cranking out 15 runs in any game...isn't that what casual fans like seeing?

i have no problem watching a 1-0 pitcher's duel...just figured most people loved offense.

It was mostly a joke. I really did like, and wish more teams would do it, how they just said "fuck it" and tried to win this year. They were a .500 team and could have secured a decent chance of having multiple .500 seasons in the future had they kept their prospects. .500 sucks; it's profitable for owners and it fucking sucks ass for fans. The fucking balls that the brewers showed should be celebrated. Also, fielder is the fucking man and really easy to root for. I think the rest of the team is easy to root for as well, but I understand it's debateable.

ill be honest, this is the first series ive been nervous about in like 2 months. i truely believe we could beat the phils, and felt very confident vs the brewers after that. this ranger line up is scaaaaaary, but i guess ours is pretty nasty too. Should be a fun series, hopefully cards in 5 so i can go to the clincher :)

wow, 2 teams that are impossible to root for, I hope it rains for 6 months and they have to cancel the whole thing.

Having said that, the Cardinals have lucked out and caught 2 teams who were playing at their absolute worst, it can't happen again (it can, but i dont think so).
