  1. Wash may be a great leader of men or something but my god he's just a disaster of a game manager. How these IBBs haven't blown up in his face yet is beyond me.
  2. are we serious? hit n run with pujols?

    seriously? has that ever happened?

craigs a fucking moron, end of story. no way they tell albert pujols to just try and put the ball into play.

  3. No worries, Mr. no name with the can a corn

  4. I think they said it on the telecast, maybe a "don't steal" sign confused for "steal"

  5. I am a huge fan of the God Bless America song. Not a huge god fan, but I'm down with this song for some reason.

It's probably good you don't manage a baseball team. Walking Pujols in that situation was beyond bad.

I think if you're playing in the World Series, and Pujols is up, its smart enough to just play it safe and not run. That was a very dumb baseball play by Craig.

& lettting him go 5-6 with 3 HR and singlehandedly beat you isn't good either. You can disagree all u want, I don't think it's ever wrong to walk him. Gotta listen to rest on radio so gooo Rangers , hope this thread is a good one when I return late night. And as much as I love the Rangers, I think Wash is a pretty bad mgr

  9. Anybody know what where I can find this on iHeart? I'm dying here.
  10. McCarver & Buck talking about Pujols putting his own hit & run on when the count was 0-1 and he's been walked 15 straight times...this cannot be serious.

Or letting Holliday drive home a run while not hitting a home run kill you is a worse option. IBB'ing Pujols regardless of the situation is akin to assuming a card rack is always holding the nuts and playing way too cautious. It just ends up costing you chips in the long run.
  12. theyre claiming the best hitter in the league put the hit and run on himself? yah, i remeember when the big hurt would often take it upon himself to sac bunt durham into scoring potion.

I dont necessarily mind walking him, i would prefer not to though. But IF you are going to walk him, you can't nibble around on the next guy and get in a hitters count like he did.
  14. This intentional walk isn't as bad as Pujols before, but i still don't get it. If Napoli batted in a normal spot in the order it would make sense.
  15. SON OF A BITHC!

But that's the thing. Holliday with a runner on is probably just as dangerous if not more so than Pujols with no runners on.
  17. Shocked La Russa left Scrabble in

Just don't want to use Motte?

Honestly, what the fuck? Why wasn't a righty in?
  18. NAP OH LEE!!!!

  19. Welp.
  20. no clue on that either. it's the biggest moment of the game and their electing to give up teh platoon advantage. and reoadgs;lnewt is fine, but they have better pitchers. for a guy who get's criticized for overmanaging often, it's weird that that was the time he elected to sit back.

No idea...they need a strikeout and go to non-K pitchers.

Fuck I wish that ball would have missed Rzepper's knee.

You can't strand 30 guys and expect to win...especially against somebody as bad as CJ Wilson.

i agree, thats why i dont like walking him. but if you are saying pujols is so dangerous in comparison to the rest of the linuep behind him, and then not go after them, i dont get it
  23. LaRussa has lost his mind. Why bring in Lynn only to throw four balls? Not to mention the attempted steal by Craig. Also why pinch hit for Skip against a lefty when you are just going to bunt with Theriot?

  24. lol it's ironic that 2 righties pitched that inning, but a lefty specialist faced probably their best right handed hitter in the highest leverage at bat of the game.

I can only pray this goes to extras, and the Cardinals need a guy like Lynn who can go 2 innings.

    What a clusterfuck...

Cause he wanted to bring Motte in but he wasn't ready, so he bought him more time by have Lynn get warm up pitches on top of the IW.
