    I am seriously considering moving. It is really sad to see the clock being turned back so far in a state that has so much to offer.

    Set aside your opinions on abortion, the fact that the state is trying to take away a right I have.. the right to make my own choices, scares me.

    I read the entire bill (HB 228) and it makes it a felony to provide an abortion, supply the abortion pill, or even transport a woman across state lines to obtain an abortion.

    Well then like a wise man said, lets have them ban it, and then when teenage girls are putting babies in dumpsters, we take them and put them on the capital/church/whoever's steps and say "here! you raise em".

    And we can tell the little boys and girls with muscular dystrophy that they will never be cured because some morons think it's up to them to decide whats right for women across the country.

    NO, it won't pass. But the fact that the state I recently moved to (2 years ago this month) is attempting to take that choice away is enough to make me seriously rethink where I call home.

    The article also said that South Dakota had already passed a similar law.

    abortion should be outlawed except for extenuating circumstances: rape/molestation, incest, mothers life in question // why should an innocent human be snuffed out just because the mother didnt use effective birth control and just doesnt feel like having a baby

    i personally wouldn't have an abortion, but i would never push my opinion on the matter for someone else. though, people who use abortion as a form of birth control should just be killed.

    I won't debate abortion on here, but will say I am pro choice. The reason I am pro choice is not because I believe abortion is right or wrong, but because I believe that my right to chose is more important. The right for me, my daughters in law (future) or even my future grandaughters, to chose what they want to do with their own body.

    It is simply a turn back for my rights. Not acceptable.

    like i said...not for me, but i know someone who has had an abortion. and honestly, i don't see her being able to raise a kid. if she gave it up for adoption, i bet the kid would be special needs due to the drug use/drinking she was doing. but i don't hate her for it, her decision, not mine.

    and there are such things as regulations on abortions traffic, for instance, after x number of weeks(9 I think), you are not able to get an abortion. Before that, the fetus is at a stage where the brain, limps, organs, everything, is so undeveloped that its barely a human.

    why wouldn't you take it? you would let someone raise your own kid? lets say this kid doesn't get adopted and ends up in foster care. basically getting passed around through out its life, beat, etc. how is this kid going to end up as an adult?

    if you couldn't give it up for adoption, why wouldn't you take responsibility for your actions? you make it, you should have to pay for it. what if that was a law? like if the kid doesn't get adopted out, but has to be put in foster care, say the law is you have to support the kid anyways?

    And the sick thing is, the opposition to your rights ARE MEN!!!!! Why should men campaign against the rights of women. And I know this will come up so I'll adres it. I can campaign FOR women's rights because I support those rights. I'm not trying to tear them down.

    im not campaigning against the rights of women, i campaigning FOR THE RIGHTS of the unborn child, who does not get to make the decision whether they live or die, instead a mother who is not all that responsible in the first place obviously if they got pregnant(not taking into account rape/molestation) so why should this irresponsible person be able to make this life or death decision for another PERSON, an unborn child is a PERSON

    The unborn child does not get a choice, because THEY AREN"T PEOPLE. They are subhuman. Once they pass the window for abortion, then you could make the case that they are human, but not before.

    Most states already have a ban on the only reliable type of abortion for VIABLE fetus', the partial birth abortion. Until a zygote, then embryo, is viable (able to sustain life on it's own) it is not a baby. This is going to sound crass, but in the true definition of the word, it is a parasite, unable to sustain life on it's own, without the assistance of a host (the mother).
