  1. I love boxing, but the Olympic form of it is nothing short of a joke. I just saw a fight between a Japanese and Azerbajahni fighter where the latter was awarded the fight after spending the entire 3rd round on the canvass. Ref issued no standing 8 or 10 counts either. I think they reformed the system after Roy Jones Jr. got screwed in 1988, but this is ridiculous. Add this to the badminton match tanking and it looks like Romney shouldn't have mentioned Olympic security, but Olympic scoring/structuring incompetency instead.

Don't click on the "Olympic Boxing" thread then...lol...

EDIT: I am sure this is a level.
  4. PM Pacquiao to see if it is only Olympic Boxing that is rigged
  5. Olympic boxing corrupt?!? Next you'll tell us the bcs system is flawed.
  6. I had a hundo on the Indonesian badminton team for gold. Rigged.
  7. I thought in the Olympics a jab is worth the same amount of points and an upper cut knock down. It's one point for every contact isn't it?
  8. Olympic boxing is more like a game of tag then actually boxing.

Yea the dude from Azerbajahn was about to pass out as the ref raised his hand, while his opponent wasnt dazed at all. The referee was from Turkjimenistan and Teddy Atlas was going on about a 2011 report that said some guy tried to buy 2 golds for Azerbajahn so he could bring some boxing series there.

I mean I get Olympic sports can be corrupt, but in 2012 with so much coverage from every angle it just seems absurd.

  10. i see alot of white guys winning boxing matches, so it cant be real boxing
  11. The match after it where the Iranian got disqualified for absolutely nothing was worse.

Looks like they overturned the decision on the Japanese guy's fight.

  16. if there are judges it ain't a sport. glad the Japan-Azerbaijan fight was changed at least, that was shitty as hell. didn't see the Iranian guy get disqualified.
