Did USA win in extra time, or penalty kicks? Also, Canada can still win a bronze in ladies soccer?
-
Never should have gone to extra time . . .

On par with this, but congrats...

hahaha reminds me of the olympic hockey finals few winters ago. beating refs can be pretty difficult.
congrats usa i'm sure your collective dicks are 5 inches but keep pretending it's 10 -
I care in the same way that I care about any match that is not decided by the competitiors, but rather as a result of incompetent officiating. It's why I understand the US memory of Munich in '72. The IOC will sweep this crap under the rug, as usual, but there have been a number of officiating disasters in these games. Today's soccer match is one, there is a veterinary controversy in Equestrian of all things, not to mention the boxing fiascos. The IOC likes to talk the Games up as the ultimate in sporting competition, yet the officiating often leaves MUCH to be desired. This robs spectators and, more importantly, it robs the athletes of their just desserts.

Congrats USA, for your cherished win in womens soccer!!!

It does often seem like there's a competition between the IOC and the individual sport governing bodies on who can be more corrupt and terrible. For all the high-minded commentary from the head officials, there's just a lot rotten right underneath.

I don't give a flying fuck about women's soccer, but Canadian butthurt is wondrous.
-
That game, and especially the officiating, was complete shenanigans. lol women's soccer.
would have been interesting to see chance and the other butthurt canada fans puffing their chest out if canada won though (and they should have)
But when the u.s pulls it out its "Oh well. We don't care about soccer anyway. We still won in vancouver"
-
listen cowboy it's not like anyone gives a fuck about womens soccer especially not canada
you keep playing your devils game and smoking your green plants and stop shovelling my country -
lol at anyone who's using the "we beat the US in hockey" card to justify not caring about this result.
-
Uh...
