  1. I'm sorry OT, lately when I've been fucked up and enjoying music I come and spew here. I think I did a Jay Z thread, bone thugs thread, but here is an artist I think we can all get behind. When I think about his life sometimes, its just so fucking sad. It's like we do not deserve these iconic geniuses, we drive them to their deaths. RIP mike

Cool song but he didn't write or produce it. In fact, it wasn't even written for him.

Sorry. Just like correcting misinformation where I see it. Thought by "made" you were saying he wrote it. And I think he was 14 when that song was released.

  14. lol ya, was just giving you shit for giving me shit. Song would be long forgotten without MJs rendition. Im not even a fan really.
  15. For the ones saying he's aright, or I'm not that big a fan, etc, we're talking about Michael Jackson. We won't ever see another in our lifetimes. You could go to little villages in the poorest parts of the world and find that they love Michael Jackson. Defines the word icon. Just sit down for an hour and have a listen and tell me he didn't revolutionize music.

Music is one of those things that's totally subjective. I hate arguing music. People can give me shit for things I "feel" when it comes to sports or whatever, but that's all music is. If someone doesn't think MJ is awesome or doesn't like MJ, whatever. That's music; that's entertainment. To me? MJ's The Man.

  17. I wasnt being serious when i said overrated obv. But he isnt somebody that i would listen to very often. Whatever anybody thinks of his music though, he is obv an icon and there will probably never be anyone like him ever again.
  18. Yes my bad fellas. Everyone has their own taste in music, that's why it's so great. However, MJ served as a muse for just about any of the great artists we all love, that's what I meant when saying he revolutionized music.

I think he was more influential in the progression of music videos than in his actual music.

WTF does that mean? Jesus. I actually grew up to his music and MTV so I might have a bit of knowledge on the subject of how the Thriller video totally revolutionized music videos.

So musicians don't make music videos now? You still living in 1960 or something?
