  8. what you typed wrong is an apparently serious question about the legitimacy of online colleges. I may be wrong about this, but any educational opportunity provided to me in an email from Rod H. Johnson just doesn't seem on the up and up. and although I can't be sure of this in every instance, I get the feeling most employers would question why I hold a degree from the University of Nigeria.
  9. Are we talking University of Phoenix online or Sally Struthers online? Alot of traditional colleges are offering 100% online degrees as well and more are joining every day. The degree would definitely carry more weight if its from an accredited university.

  10. What are your goals? Are you looking for an easy way out of going to college than online won't do you any good in the real world because the college you are looking for businesses won't hire you. If you are looking for an accredited college online to work around your schedule then there are some out there. I know some people that have done online courses and they said it is actually harder to keep yourself disciplined to do the work. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
  11. I wouldn't ever get an online degree UNLESS it was through a state university. Like in NY, the SUNY schools offer lots of online courses that you can take from your home and I believe a few matriculated programs of study. That way you get an actual degree from an actual university. I don't think anybody would take you seriously if you showed them a degree from the university fo phoenix online.

  12. I know people who dude the Uni. of Phoenix online, but that was because they already had a degree from somewhere, work was paying for it, and they were able to do it online, or go into campus late at night (I know they have actual buildings now in serveral states) But I agree, pretty much any regular college has distance learning courses, via internet or TV, so I would recomend those. They are cheaper (depending on how low you start, even JC's have online courses), and easy to transfer credits.
