  1. A newbie here as far as stock trading goes but it seems interesting and I though I would deposit a couple of grand into an account and make some small investments. Only problem is e-trade seems to be rejecting me because I'm in Canada,. Anyway others have this problem? If so is there a site where it is easy for us to deposit/ make trades etc.

  2. most major canadian banks have on line trading services but they are full service brokers and regulated differently than US banks - on line trading fees are generally a lot higher than etrade unless you have a minimum amount on deposit.

trading tip of the day: buy Suncor, Husky, Teck Comminco and Rim as of about 8 hours ago. Sell them right about now. You're welcome.

I cant get thru on etrade, basically it has 2 options to sign up. US or "rest of the world" and Canada is not under "rest of the World" wtf?

  7. OptionsXpress works with Canadians, is operated by Charles Schwab, has message boards, live help, and free learning seminars for customers. On top of that, if I refer you, we each get $100 in our account as soon as you make your first deposit. Stock trades are only $9.95USD, and Options trades are 12.95 for up to 4 legs. Send me your email via PM, and I'll have them send you a link.
