Open savings account with Bank or Credit Union?

    Which one is better to opening a savings account with? I have zero experience dealing with Credit Unions. How much different are they to regular banks?

    Credit Union. If you are activity duty, have any relatives that are active duty, have any relatives that work for DoD, have some remove relationship to anybody DoD, I highly recommend Navy Federal Credit Union.

    NavyFed rapes any other bank/credit union by miles. Minimal fees and awesome for getting loans for cars/mortgage etc

    my credit union (nassau educators federal credit union) is a small county wide credit union that has the best rates for everything. my friends are envious of my low apr on my car loan. they are all going to school to be teachers and cant join it yet, meanwhile my grandma was a lunch lady at a school like 30 years ago lolol.
