Oh. I think I get it now. OP wants black people to go back to Africa. This thread sorta makes sense in that context. No other way this makes any sense.
-
Also, I have no idea what the point of this is. "Imperialism of rich tastes"?? Sounds like the problem is less in wealthy Westerners who want to eat more organic and more in African leaders' inability to independently assess what's best for their own countries.
-
might be pissed off cuz the organically grown bananas in Ontario are displacing the regular African bananas

Ask Vandana Shiva what she thinks of this guy's idea. It sure is working out well for India . . . .

From the article . . .

The slogans may reflect conventional wisdom on North American campuses and in European grocery aisles. But when imposed on the impoverished farmers of Africa, agriculture expert Robert Paarlberg argues, this mindset spells disaster, thwarting efforts to achieve the food security sought by conference-goers.
and . . .
The skepticism of African governments is fuelled by what Mr. Paarlberg has called “an imperialism of rich tastes;” in other words, Africa’s urban political elite mimic positions taken by their counterparts in European capitals, hanging their own “science-starved farmers” out to dry.
or . . .
He said food activists may think they are helping the planet but too often they limit their view to “the kind of food system we should have in the San Francisco Bay Area,” or dietary changes needed to fight obesity.
“They don’t think first about the circumstances of low-resource farmers in rural Africa where people are underweight rather than overweight, where they use too little fertilizer rather than too much fertilizer, where they have no access to markets,” he said. “They’re not victims of globalization. There are no multi-national corporations anywhere to be seen. They live in remote areas that aren’t even connected by road systems to market towns.” -
How does any of that have anything at all to do with racism? Are Africans racist against white scientists and that's why they won't accept GMO's? I don't get it.

The racism is clear. By pushing their agenda, the envirofacists who are so concerned about the planet, man, that they prefer blacks and browns to die rather than use (allegedly anti-1st world planet view) seeds and farming methods. I guess you could say it isnt necessarily racism, itcould just be a callous disregard for third-worlders, in the name of the greater good of course.
-
we hate all people equally, thank you
-
That's all part of the plan, less people = better for mother earth

Mother Earth doesn't need the help. As Carlin said, the planet will be here long after we (as a species) are gone. If you think we can destroy this planet, you are delusional. We may be able to alter it to the point where it will no longer sustain Humankind's existence, but that is a very different thing.
