Use this thread to share experiences good or bad with products and/or the websites or stores you've purchased them from.
Edited By: Mr. Blonde Oct 26th, 2011 at 08:01 PM
If you would just like to give a thumbs up or thumbs down for a site or an item that would be fine, but a review or explanation is encouraged.
If you find a deal online (or IRL) and would like to share it with community, we'd like to keep it consolidated to this thread. (i.e. the recent post about the HP thinkpad sell off). The exact guidelines for this are subject to change and each post will be monitored and handled on a case by case basis by the mods to avoid potential spammers and unauthorized advertising. Same goes for services. For example: If someone wants to inquire about the pros and cons of Fios vs Direct TV, we would be fine with that so long as its not something someone is pimping for their own benefit. Links to specific sites will also be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Frequently posted product questions like "What monitor should I buy?" and "Whats the best computer chair?" should also be confined to this thread. Eventually enough reviews on several items will answer most of the FAQs in OT.
Some Guidelines:
This is NOT the community market place for you to buy and sell goods. Posts like "Anyone want to buy my (insert item here)?" are still a violation of the rules. Links to your personal items on ebay or other site will also be deleted. We will also not accept anyone looking for or handing out referral codes. We will also not allow someone to sign up just to use this thread to gain traffic for their site/product. If you are not an already established OT'er, more than likely your post will be deleted and you will be banned for unauthorized advertising.
If you are on the fence about any of the above, feel free to PM me first and I will evaluate first and let you know if it's ok to post.

Marlboro.com has given me a ton of free shit in the last year. I mean most of it is crap but its free. So far I got an LED flashlight, a canteen, a zippo (its a knock off), a pocket camcorder, a bandana, a tshirt, and an iphone skin. Plus a bunch of coupons for cigs. At least I get something out of my wife's smoking habit

My brother has a pretty sweet marlboro cookbook that they sent him from when he used to smoke. "Cook like a man" written in big letters on the cover lol

Rockabilia gets a thumbs down from me. Bought some sick band shirts today and they were all "in stock" so I order them. Then I get an email saying "Note, not all items are able to ship instant, check on your items status below". All 3 of my items are being back ordered and it says up to 8 weeks. Fucking aggravating, especially since I wanted one for a show 2 weeks out.

craigslist gets a thumbs up from me. i get stuff even cheaper than they advertise it for, and sometimes you can have sex with their salespeople on the spot!

Been thinking about getting a new tv (LED)...probably a 46", don't have that big of a living room. Already have a 37" Lg LCD and have had no problems with it over the past 4 years. Budget is 1200$. Been looking at Panasonic...but idk.

Any reviews regarding 46"ish LED'S?.....oh and no 3D tv's. -
Panasonic is rated pretty low here:

Didnt even make the list here:

Ranked pretty high on picture quality here but its a plasma:

I have a 52" Zenith (DLP...don't laugh I know). If price werent a factor I would buy a Bravia...but i dont think you could go wrong with a Sharp Aquos or a nice Samsung. Curious as to why you dont want 3D tho -
vonhonsons butcher is racist
-

i like beer, and prefer it to not beer -
I have a samsung 55" LED that I love! Think it's an 8000 series, was like $2k when I got it but it's probably much cheaper now. Obv

I've decided that I am never wearing an uncomfortable pair of shoes ever again.
I stumbled upon the Jordan Comfort Viz series of shoes. They are basically mash ups of Jordan's and Air Max's. The Comfort Viz 13 is an Air Jordan XIII upper that's fused with an Air Max I sole.
It is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I bought 2 pairs and I decided that I am going to buy two or three more and just throw them in the closet and leave them in the box for after I wear the first two pairs out.
I have these two pairs right now:

and one of these which has a shiny patten leather on the bottom part: I got the black upper and white bottom's with the red accent

I also bought myself for my birthday a pair of vintage Bo Jackson II's. I think these are sexy, and they were my favorite workout shoes when I was a senior in high school. Hey, if I can't go back and be 18 again, at least I can wear the fucking shoes, right bitch?

why buy a bottle opener?
never understood that. wine opener okay but regular bottles? use the bottom of a lighter, a counter, hell just about anything -
saxophone.com
This is a store and on line site in Las Vegas run by a Vegas professional sax player who imports horns from Taiwan produced to his specs. Garrett is a real gentleman to deal with and his horns are great instruments not even taking into account the incredibly low prices. Highly recommend them to any aspiring sax players, gigging players or people that have kids looking to get started. -
Actual adults still wear basketball shoes on a regular, not-playing-basketball-or-doing-any-other-sort-of-exercise-just-wearing-clothes-in-an-everyday-fashion basis? Really?
Switching gears, Orville Redenbachers Pop Up Bowls fucking raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaape. Top-10 invention of all time imo -
those jordans are not bball shoes
-
athletic sneakers, whatever. the question still applies
-
naw, people don't wear comfortable athletic shoes when the get older
its all strictly wing tips and slippers, that's it, nothing else -
lol aight then, I feel like I only ever see old people in like non-athletic sneakers (e.g. converse or whatever) or like boaters or loafers or boots of some sort, but different strokes etc
-
IDK
once you decide that your shoes must be comfortable, it sort of rules out anything that converse makes -
not really, converse is not a company known for "comfort" style shoes, in fact their signature shoe is the "all-star" which is not really on par with any nike "air" product, in my opinion
but whatever
oh and for fun... looolz

I mean, i personally don't think any shoes are "comfortable"...I live by the immortal words of the great TWK
But to the extent that weather or whatever forces me to wear shoes, I like my low-cut ChucksOriginally Posted by TheWacoKidd

I went thru a Copenhagen tent one time at a concert to get some extra cans for my brother in law. Filled out a couple of promotional forms. All I ever got in the mail was a block of wood.
True story.
