  1. background - i'm a pretty novice player just looking for a decent (forgiving :P )driver.

    Used Callaway FT-5 10 degree draw driver w/ 43'' shaft (Fujikura 150) Flex -R

    9/10

    For 95$..

Alot of website reviews say its a pretty good driver.. just wanted to get the OT golfers opinion. Thanks in advance.
  2. Probably not the best deal. It is a Regular Flex to. Probably could get him / she / it down to $75 if it was me or more!
  3. Seems legit. You aren't gonna get anything great for $95 and Callaway makes great clubs for novice players as they are forgiving.
  4. buying a golf club without hitting it is just :(

Yup I hit 10 Drivers before deciding on mine
  6. its hard to find new, decent drivers for less than $90. it looks solid but def. takes some swings wit it before you buy it.
  7. I am planning on meeting him @ a range to try it out before i buy it. I wouldn't buy it without trying it. Just wanted to know moneywise if it was worth it..

  8. have golf clubs gone down in a price a lot?

back in my day when I was still drooling over clubs, most name brand drivers from PING, Callaway, taylormade etc were usually well over 300-400 bucks

Obviously buying a club without trying it is pretty sketch since the clubs integrity could be comprimised or you might not hit it well bla bla bla. but 95 bucks for any newish name brand driver seems like an ok deal to me
  9. Too much....

    PGA value guide

** That site seems to be down at the moment but that driver re-sells at about $73 and that's on the high side. $60 is a fair price. Trade in value is $35.
  10. You can buy so many brand new 2009 drivers for like $150 (like the Nike SQ Dymos) that it seems silly to pay $100 for a meh used one that you haven't hit...
  11. To get the most fun and satisfaction out or your newfound hobby, I would suggest you go see your local pro for a fitting and or lessons. You will need the proper fitting clubs tailored to your specific needs. I've been going to Golftec.com for the past 2 months and the improvement in my game has been dramatic. They probably have one in your area.
  12. I recently bought a new driver and was in a similar position to you (money + ability level no doubt - 22hcp). I tried this, the ping G10, Taylormade Burner... Regular and Draw, and the Nike Sumo driver. I went for the Taylormade Burner Draw driver. Seemed a little more forgiving and i hit it 10-15 yards further than the others. No brainer really.

Buy yah, you could proberbly get a little better price for it, but not much better.
