    Haley has a question for her homework asking what is the same length of a $1,000.00 worth of pennies

    I take a thousand dollars worth of pennies to be 100,000 pennies
    according to wikipedia a penny is (0.061 in) thick which equals 6100 inches which equals 508.33 feet

    so what item is that height or length?

    first documented correct answer for height and/or length gets a slugger thread of his/her choosing of 20 pics

    answer must be an item that is know so the teacher would be asking about it not your backyard in high school

    subject of thread must be approved by slugger as being able to post sufficient number of appropriate pics obv

    Ok I asked her to see the question earlier and Haley said it wasn't written down. Her mom asked her to see the quesiton and, surprise surprise, it was in fact written down. The question has been answered

    my smart ass answer would be a $1000 dollar bill. ill see if i cant find anything involving the height, would a 1000 in pennies stretch across a certain amount of land or anything, not sure how long that would be.

    Are they stacked? I was thinking length would be laid side by side.

    In that case they're .75" which gives you 6,250 feet....

    Just checked the wiki and that is definitely the height so ya you could go 6100 inches, 508.33 ft, .0962 miles or 169 yards. Personally I like the metric system so meters would look like this:

    6100 in x 2.54 cm/in = 15,494 cm or 155 m

    EDIT- just realized this was a riddle. gg calculator.

    Is this strictly a math class, or a combination of other classes? If it's a combination what are they currently studying in history or social studies?

    edit: if I can find it, I do not need the pic post...you can give that to the user of your choice. I just ask for .01 shipped to me on stars, so I have enough to piss away the rest of the money I have their with a .10 turbo tourney.

    actually future i searced before i made the post I was unable to find it and she was getting frustrated so I thought having more people look would get the answer quicker and alleve her anxiety

    the answer was more along the lines of what az posted i believe the answer requires only a statement of the what the measurement would be
    She thought they wanted to know what it was as long/high as.
