    So I was thinking about what bands i'd give these all-time awards to and thought it'd be interesting to get some other opinions...



    Greatest Band of All-time: Pink Floyd (no. 2 Led Zeppelin)

    Rock Band: Led Zeppelin

    Hip-Hop: Outkast

    Rap artist: Andre 3000 (Biggie or 2pac here would work also, but i'll take andre)

    Alternative Band: Radiohead

    Country: dont care

    Pop: dont care

    Solo Singer/Songwriter: Sinatra?

    Album: Dark Side of the Moon


    some other topics might be: best frontman, best live performers, best guitarist etc.

    Let me just say this about Led Zeppelin IV:

    There are 8 tracks on this album and all of them are incredible just by themselves, never mind all of them combined on a single album. And if a rock fan included any of the 8 tracks on their top 100 list of greatest songs all time, nobody could really argue with it.

    Stairway to Heaven
    Misty Mountain Hop
    Four Sticks
    Going to California

    75% objective, 25% favorite. I wouldn't put Led Zeppelin in my personal top 5 list for bands/artists, but I can appreciate what they did and recognize their genius. (that top 5 list for me would be Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Pink Floyd and The Beatles)
