  1. Figured we could start gauging interest and setting up leagues. Open to ideas on formats and scoring, but here's what I was thinking (ran this last year). This probably works best with 6 teams, but I think it can also work with 8 (maybe remove 1 of the WR's or flex's if 8 and obv cut back to 1 kicker):

    1 QB
    2 RB
    2 WR
    2 TE
    2 flex's (no TE's), 1 of which can be a QB
    2 Kickers

You must take at least 1 player from each conference per position, including if you use the optional QB slot.

    Passing:
    4 pts/TD
    1 pt/25 yards
    -1 pt/INT

    Rushing:
    6 pts/TD
    1 pt/10 yards

    Receiving:
    6 pts/TD
    1 pt/10 yards
    .5 pt/reception

    -1 pt/fumble (lost or not)
    2 pts/2PC
    1 pt/25 return yards
    6 pts/ret. TD

    Kickers:
    1 pt/PAT
    <40 yard FG/3 pts
    40-49 yard FG/4 pts
    50+ FG/5 pts

I have a spreadsheet set up for this scoring, which would be published on Google Docs to keep track of scoring. Drafts would be held in some type of chat room (Skype or AIM) at an agreed upon time between the end of week 17 and the 1st wild card game. I'd be willing to hold (either Paypal or BoA transfer). Maybe do a $25, $50, and a $100. Anyone interested?

Signup lists (6 teams/league, can do multiple leagues in each buyin if necessary):

    $25:

    2.
    3.
    4.

    $50:
    1. mkind16
    2.
    3.
    4.
    5.
    6.

    $100:
    1. mkind16
    2.
    3.
    4.

  2. how is paypal with these types of payments? i know some of the other OT FFB leagues were running into some sort of trouble with the transfers. i don't think i'll be doing the Superbowl squares this year, but if i did i wanted to know if payments through paypal would be fine.

  3. interested

  4. I would be in.

  5. Interested
  6. Interested, very interested.
  7. Interested obv, what we do at work is

    1 QB
    1 RB
    1 WR
    1 TE
    1 K
    1 DEF

And you do this for each conference. Once you choose your team, you are stuck with it for the rest of the playoffs so there is strategy between choosing the best players at each position but also having players that will generate points for the entire playoffs as their team moves on.

I'll have to ask Quietwinner, who ran the Megaleague, how he got around this. We may have to use multiple holders.

So you would pick 2 of each but 1 for each conference? That could be an interesting idea. Would put even more strategy into picking players, esp. the optional 2nd QB.

What do you guys want to do for buyins?

  10. Yes and only one player from each team.

I have had my paypal locked, but was able to reopen it. I still think paypal is the best option, but keep in mind that you may have issues with alot of transfers coming in a big one going out, etc.

I'm not particularly fond of this rule per se. It does remind me that we did have a rule last year that you could not take a player on the same team within 3 rounds of each other. I don't think you should necessarily have to be stuck with a player on the shitty teams in the later rounds, but the 3 round rule at least allows most of the other skill players on the good teams to be taken before you have a chance to again (for example if you took Rodgers in round 1, you couldn't take another Packer until round 4 when you'd figure guys like Jennings and Nelson are probably already gone).

As for the Paypal thing, if it helps I do have BoA transfers. I could also send a check to winners as opposed to sending it back on Paypal (not that I think that's where people get caught, it's usually with the incoming money).

So lets put up signup lists since there seems to be interest. We can do multiple leagues at each buyin if there is enough interest, so just write whatever buyins you'd be willing to do for now. I'll edit it into the OP.
