  2. The Chargers will prove why they're ranked higher than the Raiders this weekend...even in a meaningless game.

Raiders still alive in the playoff hunt, iirc. I think they need to win this week + a Denver loss?

yes...i meant a meaningless game for the Chargers.

The games means EVERYTHING to the Raiders, and nothing to the Chargers...and the Bolts will still win.

Homer is as homer does ... care to lose some money on it?

those 3 teams you mention all have horrible defenses, the 49ers put up 21-27 points easy. That's all it would take since the 49er defense wont give up more than 20.
  7. Fuckin Bullshit Ike Taylor isn't on the team.

Steelers are #1 against the pass. Ike plays the other teams #1 WR all game. He is giving up 2.7 receptions a game and 30.8 yards a game. He has given up 2 Tds all year.
  8. Navarro Bowman with a big time snub for the pro bowl

The last 3 times the Raiders and Chargers played it meant something to both teams yet the Raiders won every time. Just sayin...
  10. Sucks to miss the last couple. Been a fun season of talking footballball.

    May there be many moressss

SD +3 like Vegas has? Find an escrow, and I'm down. I'm not a baller, but if you wanna bet, I'm down.

And I'm not a Chargers fan...you remember what happened last time you started tooting the Raiders' horn? They got blasted by Miami in a game that should have been 45-0.
  12. Im no baller either but if you think chargers are going to handle them you shouldnt need points. I think randers might be willing to escrow for me up to 100, (if im overstepping randers i apologize)
Lets just hope I dont curse them like I did against miami. My crow didnt taste so good that week.
  13. RAVENS SHOULD BE AT 3

i mean...i'd save on juice, but why would i bet with you straight up when i could bet chargers +3 on any book.

i do think chargers will win, but they definitely aren't my team...so i have no incentive to bet them.
  15. I was just saying its idiotic to have the chargers ranked above the raiders. Im obv a raider homer but ill back up my statements with a bet. You may know more about football but you are biased and wrong on this one and paraphrasing "the chargers will prove thier ranking this week" should be backed up by a straight up bet if you think they are the better team.

I have made bronco fans change thier facebook profile when we won the first meeting and I drank for free at my local bar in san diego when the raiders won the last meeting. Obv you arent my facebook fiend or bar buddy so maybe we can bet you giving them a top ten ranking when they win and ill proclaim you as prognosticating genius if they lose.

    Reason: paragraphs are fun
  16. Fair enough...Raiders can get a top 10 ranking from me if they win.

    2) Saints- Not buying this the Saints should be considered 1A at the moment crap. Sure theyve looked great and Brees has had a historically great season but good luck winning two road games especially if you somehow get stuck with the Lions in the first round of the playoffs (I believe this is the scenario that happens if Atlanta wins and Detroit loses this weekend.)

The Saints have the best road record in the NFL (18-6) since 2009. This is never mentioned, the #1 road record in the league over the past three years yet everyone loves to say the Saints can't win on the road. The Saints have a better defense than the Packers and a top 8 rushing attack to complement the passing game. 3 games, including @SF and @GB, will be a brutal road, but the Saints are the best team in the NFL right now, they can get it done.
  18. that's because everyone is remembering their road loss int he playoffs to Seattle and that miserable loss to the Rams this year

Never mentioned again in the Seattle loss was the fact the Saints were without Malcolm Jenkins, Jimmy Graham, or their top seven, yes seven, running backs. Julius Jones was our leading rusher that game, by the end of it, our feature back was Heath Evans. The Saints lost, but that was a perfect storm of misery.

The Rams loss came after a 62-7 beatdown on the Colts. I don't see any difference between the Saints loss @STL and the Packers loss @KC. Since that loss, the Saints are 7-0 (3-0 on the road, @ATL, @TEN, @MIN), winning by an average margin of 34.6 to 19.0. The defense has steadily gotten better and better and the running game is statistically one of the best in the entire league (#4 of current playoff teams - trailing DEN, HOU, and SF). #2 rushing attack in the NFC playoffs, trailing a traditional run team by 0.6 yards per game.

The Saints are one of, if not the most capable team to go on the road and win two games in the playoffs, and everyone is speaking as if this is the death wish.

Who does Bowman replace? Ware, Matthews, Briggs, Urlacher, Willis....

Not really the incredible snub of this season, surprised you not saying Alex Smith should have been in etc.

Saints are a totally different team playing out of a dome. You show the road wins they have and two were in domes and one was against an inept Tennessee Team. Pretty Sure they havent played one game this year where the Temp was below 50.. Could they win two games on the road? Of course. But they have yet to play one game where Weather is remotely a factor. Heck I cant find a game in the last four years where they played in a cold weather game except a game at the Bears in week 17 four years ago. So dont expect them to be running their usual air show at GB when its 15 degrees and snowing. Then again same holds true for GB. Your not gonna see 400 yards passing by either guy.

And yet, Green Bay is currently the 2nd worst rushing team currently in the playoffs (only DET is worst) while the Saints possess a top 8 rushing attack that has gotten significantly stronger since Brian De La Puente took over for Olin Kreutz at center. And as you suggest, the cold weather will impact the passing game. So why exactly is playing in the elements a bad thing for New Orleans (statistically, one of the best teams suited for the elements) but it's a great thing for Green Bay? Once again, over the past three years, there is no better team on the road than the New Orleans Saints.

Bad weather would typically favour the better defense, the better rushing attack. Both of those belong to New Orleans. Why aren't people discussing this? Playing on the road is hard, but the actual conditions themselves, favour New Orleans moreso than Green Bay.
  24. New Orleans has never won a road playoff game. Ever. And saying that NO has a better defense is kinda a stretch. And GB just doesnt run the ball. Not because they can't because no one has been able to stop their passing game all year. I've seen what GB can do in the cold and on the road in playoff situations. And I've seen what NO lose on the road to Seattle in the playoffs. Either way should be fun if they happen to meet again..
  25. Tom Brady talks about how he loves snow games and the game plan is to air it out in them. The receiver knows what direction he is going and is given a greater advantage over the defense and lineman have trouble rushing. I don't know what the stats say, but have heard Brady talk about it a couple times. Think an example of it is in the Belichik documentary that was posted recently where he says what an edge he should have, then beats the Titans 59-0 in the snow

    Found it. 3 minutes in

Belichik: Will be easier to throw than run
Brady: This is a QBs dream right here
    followed by
Brady: 380 yards, 6TD passes. NFL record 5 in 2nd quarter alone

You do realize GB won the SB last year as the 6 seed and haven't lost at home in a jillion years etc. Honestly not sure if serious when you say NO if better prepared for cold-weather games than a team that plays in northern Wisconsin v a dome team. Stats have absolutely no bearing in this argument.

Also, GB was a shitty run team last year and they completely changed gears with various run-heavy formations when Starks started getting noticed. You talk about the best team in the league as if they are incapable of adapting when they have gotten challenged very little this year. There defense sucks yet they continue to have their game-changing def make plays when they need it and it'll show when teams step onto Lambeau (could give a fuck about some goddamn fieldgoals and terrible yardage stats, turnovers are key and so is playing with a lead)

It's not like this is a neutral field game with a ton on the line brew.

The Chargers have all the attributes predictive analysts, and especially compared to the rest of the AFC West.

btw, pm me your paypal info so I can get you some manies.

LOL a team that has only scored more than 27 pts twice this year. One of them was in a rout of TB the other was 16 weeks ago. They have a fantastic Defense but they're just too inept on O to get it done in january IMO
  29. They might be able to get 9 FG's in a game
