OT Poll: Poet or intellectual?

    I'm in a creative writing class as;ldfjaslk;dfjlaksdfj;laksdjf and am convinced I don't have a poetic bone in my body. Also, I don't post on OT w/o it being a poll concerning some meaningless detail in my life. Thus, we have funnygut's bi-monthly poll: poet or intellectual, which are you? As Richard Hugo posed the question (yes this was in the reading for class), do you make the truth in your life conform to the music you hear (poet), or do you make the music you hear conform to your idea of truth (intellectual)?

    I dont make either fit what i want, it is what it is.

    thought for sure this was going to be about woman tho.

    I would much rather bang an intellectual. The poet is going to be way to artsy fartsy, trying to make it all dbl meanings and shit.
