    If people want to spend about $20 and still have a chance at winning a lot of money, you can box 5 horses in a $1 exacta box. If you like a couple of longshots that is a good way to include them.

    If you like two horses and one of them has to get first or second, you can put them with 5 other horses and as long as one of those two hits first or second and the others either win or get second you will win too.

    For example your ticket which would include 7 horses, could look like this

    Exata Part wheel 1-2/3-4-5-6-7 and 3-4-5-6-7/1-2, this is good if you can't figure out exactly how the race unfolds, maybe one horse fires and others don't, or you feel more strong about a couple horses and others have a chance. I used this last year to include Giacomo (sp?) in my exotics.

    I AGREE,THERE IS ALOT OF DIFF WAYS TO GO HERE ESPECIALLY IN A BIG FIELD.IM GONNA SIT BACK AND FIGURE WHICH WAYS IM GONNA COME UP WITH MY PICKS YOU CAN DO IT IN A VARIETY OF WAYS AND STILL MAKE A DECENT RETURN WITHOUT COSTING A HUGE AMOUNT I LIKE THE TRI BOX BET ALOT.

    A couple of interesting things about this derby when looking for a longshot to play, especially in your exotic wagers.

    Sinister Minister and Sweetnorthen saint... Have both been beaten by 8-10 lengths by the # 16 horse " Cause To Believe"...Hmmmmm Got to wonder if that horse will show up today at 50:1 ??

    Also came from 30 lengths behind to beat Sinister.

    At 50/1 ML could made the tote board light up with those exotic bets.
