Good. So is the Big 10. Move Missouri to Big Ten, TCU to Big 12, Boise St. and ??? to Pac 10.
Pac-10 expansion will get earnest consideration

By Ted Miller
Debating Pac-10 expansion is no longer idle chit-chat. Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott made that clear during a teleconference with reporters Tuesday.
"It really is over the next six to 12 months that we'll start having serious analysis and serious conversations," Scott said about potential expansion.
Scott was joined on the conference call by Kevin Weiberg, his new right-hand man. Weiberg, the former Big 12 commissioner and Big Ten executive, was named deputy commissioner and chief operating officer this week.
Scott said he spent the first six months of his tenure listening to administrators throughout the conference. Now he's turning his focus toward action.
"The announcement of Kevin is really the start of changes and repositioning you'll see for the conference over the next 12 to 18 months," he said.
That time period is vital because the conference's TV and media contracts expire after the 2011-12 academic year. The conference needs a significant upgrade in revenue if it is going to keep up with the other BCS conferences, particularly the SEC and Big Ten.
And expansion could make the conference more alluring during negotiations.
"It makes sense [to consider expansion], if you are going to do it, to do it when you can monetize it and get value for it commercially," Scott said.
It also appears that some sort of Pac-10 network -- it could be a partnership with another BCS conference -- will get serious consideration. Scott said Weiberg's experience building the Big Ten network was "very significant."
"A network is absolutely one of the solutions we will look at," Scott said.
Scott said there have been no serious discussions with any potential candidates if the Pac-10 were to expand. He only said he'd noticed an increased "curiosity" about expansion among conference members, which was, in part, inspired by the Big Ten announcing it was looking into expansion.
Still, it's fair to say a subject of seemingly endless debate -- expansion -- might be resolved within the next year. -
Send Arizona to the WAC.

It'll hard for the Pac 10 to add any teams that can compete with the consistent mediocrity that the Pac-10 produces year in, year out.
-
add Utah and BYU
-
I would think that Boise St and the Pac-10 would both love this opportunity. Boise St. would get into a "power conference" and the Pac-10 would get a ton of additional exposure because everyone loves Boise St.
-
If only Gonzaga played football.

this is the only addition that i could talk myself into. the pac-10 already has five natural rivalries. i'd like to keep that tradition if we're adding two more schools, and utah/BYU qualifies.
-
they should force notre dame into the big 10. split all conferences to have a champ game.
-
each of Pac 10 teams travel in series of two's.
Oregon/Oregon State
Washington/Washington State
Stanford/California
UCLA/USC
Arizona/Arizona State
The two new teams need to be connected in a way, such possibilities are:
Boise State/Idaho
Colorado/Colorado State
BYU/Utah State
BYU/Utah
UNLV/Nevada-Reno
Wyoming/Montana
something off the wall:
Colorado leaves big 12 to pac-10, arkansas leaves sec to big 12, clemson leaves acc for sec, pitt leaves big east for big ten, Houston leaves CUSA for Big 12, UCF leaves CUSA for Big East (now you got connection with USF/UCF) --- can go on, but a few schools here and there can move. -
The Pac-10 isn't just about football, which is all Boise St. has to offer. Utah and BYU also bring men's basketball to the table. Look at the Sears Director's Cup standings every year, and the Pac-10 is always at the top because schools like UCLA and Stanford have strong programs accross the board, Track and Field, Gymnastics, Tennis, Cross Country, etc. etc. etc.
You would need well rounded schools that have a ton of athletics to be brought in, not Boise St. which is only a draw for football. -
Only natural that Utah is one of these teams. makes sense for both sides and being a Utah alumni this would make me very very happy.
-
BYU can't play in the Pac-10, they don't play sports on Sunday.
-
This is what I have to tell people when they say Gonzaga should move to the Pac-10. They don't even have a football team!

i really like the idea of having all these big time "mid majors" joining the 6 big conferences there for there is less controversy and we see how they recruit and compete on a week to week basis with the big boys.
theres about 110-120 CFB teams in division 1 and i think they could really concentrate all these teams into about 8 super conferences that all have major schools, big time recruiting and similar strength of schedule.
would this seperate some traditional rivals yes but you keep the big time rivals like OSU vs UM, texs v okla, FLA v UG etc in the same conferences
