  1. What does OT think about this. I have read a few sites and talked with a some friends who are pretty serious about sportsbetting. They got in when the line was -7 and it is now -9 and they are still telling me to throw a large amount of money on this game.
Obv on packers to cover spread.
    What do you guys think?
  2. browns got the swine flu, im gonna bet big on the pack even at -9. wouldnt be surprised if the line continues to go up.
  3. I think the Packers are way too inconsistent to lay 9 points on the road against a team that's covered three straight games. In the Browns last home game, they took a full-strength Bengals team to overtime. I would lay off, and if I had to bet this game would take the Browns. Everyone does seem to love the Packers in this game, though, so what do I know.

  4. I agree with mariner about the browns being tough at home. But I read that 10 of their starters are out either due to swine flu or injuries.
Well if your not so in love with this game what about the saints at -6 to the dolphins at miami. I do not see any way possible the saints do not cover the spread here.

  5. I would rather have the Packers at -9 than the Saints at -6.
  6. I think the Packers will cover. There are a few things that concern me (as a Packer fan)

    1. the offensive line has been terrible-25 sacks I think

    2. a couple linemen are out this week and the backups are really bad.

    3. the Packers uninspired play vs the Lions. It was a 26-0 win, but could have been in the 40's if the offense was firing on all cylinders. They settled for alot of early FG's.

    4. overconfidence. on the road vs a clearly inferior team. next week the Vikings and Favre come to Lambeau. It is hard not to look ahead.

That being said, everyone is picking the Packers to trounce the Browns. In the media (for GB and CLE) only 2 out of 10 writers (both for cle) have the game within a td. 74% of Browns fans have the game being decided by 10 points or more. Cleveland players are sick with the flu, lost a couple defensive guys to injury this week, and suck on offense.

My prediction, 23-6. take the Pack.
  7. Well I decided to go with the saints to cover spread. Thanks for the post though brian. Convinced my buddy to put 400 on the packers.

  8. Have Rodgers, Grant, Driver, and their D all playing in my main league, in the regular season matchup of the year, so safe to say that I'm a huge Pack fan today.
  9. I think this is the type of game where all signs point to the Packers covering. Browns players out with flu, cleveland has the worse total defense in the NFL, and have two QB's who seem to be worthless. This spread is now 8.5 at my book and I still don't see why it's not at least around 10 or even upwards of 12. Cleveland's defense was great at Buffalo holding the Bills to a FG (although the Bills offense flat out sucks). And then covered against the Steelers. This team is a little bit better with Anderson under the helm than with Quinn, and has been making small strides after the long OT game against Cincy. I'm not betting this game, but with most of the public pounding the Pack; I would take the 8.5 or more depending which book you use and make a 1 unit play on the Browns. Nothing more than 1 unit, but I have this odd feeling the Browns are going to play inspired football and at least keep the game close.
  10. Packers -9 is looking good so far.
  11. Can Greg Jennings do fucking something please.

  12. lol leets, I have Driver in both my OT leagues and sat him in both. Can't start him infront of Andre/Vincent/Desean can I?
  13. Andre and vincent no, Desean yes lol.
  14. I would have played him in front of DeSean

  15. Like I said, Packers were a lock.
