  1. So Saturday I fell asleep on the beach and got MASSIVELY sunburned on most of my right side. It's been pretty standard with the heat, discomfort, etc. except a few hours ago I began to notice the right side (When I look down, left side looking at me,) is beginning to swell up with what feels like water or something. I'm kind of assuming this is my body's response to trying to rehydrate the skin but its getting kind of weird feeling, like jiggling when I walk and I'm not large by any means for anything to giggle like so. Any advice before I die / board a plane and die on the way home / die before I get to Vegas would be greatly appreciated.
  2. This is what the medical filed calls a blister.
  3. that is sooo dangerous and bad for your skin like you have no idea.... few years back a buddy of mine got 3rd degree burned from passingout and staying there through the morning.. he has all sorts of skin problems now

    good luck.

  6. It's a little too big to be a blister, and I wasn't out in the sun THAT long. Just long enough to burn kinda decently. I can move everything and nothing is painful. I pounded like 12 bottles of water earlier today which may have created a problem. I think I'm done for.

  7. http://www.coolnurse.com/sunburn.htm

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Most sunburns are first-degree burns that cause the skin to become red, warm and tender to the touch. Second-degree burns are a more serious burn and can cause severe swelling, reddening, pain and blisters. Blisters are a sign that the burn has gone deeper than just the surface layer of the skin and has caused damage and the release of fluids from the cells in the lower layers of the skin. This results in bad blisters and breaks in the skin where bacteria and other organisms can enter. This is not a good situation and a person with a burn this badly should get some medical attention.

  8. <h1 align="right">Skin Transplants</h1> <blockquote>
Severe burns are a major cause of death for people under the age of 40. Over 325,000 North-Americans are hospitalized annually for severe burns.

In treating burn victims, the burned flesh must be removed, exposing the body's fat, muscle and other tissues to infection.

The most successful skin transplant surgery uses skin from an unharmed portion of the body to cover the burned area; this method allows little chance for rejection of the grafted skin.

When there is little skin on the victim's body to be used, one alternative is to use skin grafted from human cadavers or from pigs, whose skin texture is very similar to that of humans. Due to the ever-present problem of rejection, this type of procedure has increased risks. Recently, the use of synthetically-grown human epithelial skin has been used in skin transplantation for burn victims.

  10. lol nowhere near that bad. I've had worse burns on like arm/leg from the sun, it's just in a weird spot that it swelled. I'm pretty much terrified for my life now and wish I was back in an english-speaking country.
