Okay, I am watching First Take and all the analysts are asked how dumb were Plexico's actions the other night, on a scale of 1 to 10. I am kind of meh on this whole discussion and it is more background noise until...
All three proceed to answer a number higher than 10, which is outside of the parmeters given. My question is: Isn't this the wrong way to go about emphasizing your point? Shouldn't it be like Price is Right, if you go over... you FAIL... Am I the only one who thinks that questions should never be answered outside the predefined parmeters therein??? Help?? -
You are wrong, Plax is dumb enough to get a special category, he achieves ignorance "above and beyond the normal scale", thus on a 1-10 he grades outside a 10.

yes, it is wrong. I have a problem with the statement "gives 110%" and this is similar. If scale of 1 to 10 and someone says anything higher, they are a douche. Stop watching that crap show IMO. GL

I totally agree. Fucking retards.. When they do this, it means that every fucking time they give you an answer to anything like that, it is wrong.
What you need to do is something called normalization.
If the highest number a guy will say is 14, then you need to divide 10 by 14 and you'll get 0.71428... Now.. When he gives you a number, if he sais 14, you multipliy that number by 0.71428 and you'll get 10... If he sais 8, you do the same, and get 5.7... These are his real answers on a scale from 0-10.
After that you should stab the guy. -
Great insight, especially agree with the last sentence... Unfortunately, I left all of my z-tables and normilization graphs where they belong, college. Again to reiterate, not good at statistics, would like to stab anyone that gives over 100%...
