  1. Screw you dude.

He just went on a rant on Sports Reporters about how Barry Bonds doesn't deserve to be in the HOF, but dude, the only reason ANYBODY knows who you are is because you were on Barry Bonds' nutsack for like five years following his every move when he was the biggest name in the game.

I hate these reporters who cry about PEDs when their own careers benefited very much from the fame guys like Bonds and McGwire created.
  2. He was part of the worst panel in Sports Reporters history this morning
  3. my theory is that espn had gomez cover bonds so if bonds went crazy and beat pedro down, it would have been a hate crime.

    lol
  5. any1 who doesn't think Bonds is a HOFER didn't watch him play
  6. i watched him play and I don't believe he belongs in the hall because of what he did

I dont think McGwire or Sosa belong there either
  7. Of course he's a HOF'er.

  8. he is a hall of famer no doubt. im not letting him off the hook for steroids but he was a great player either way
  9. we don't even really have positive proof that he did steroids, do we?
     2
  10. i dont mean to say that his level of play was not worthy of the hall

i believe he forfeited that opportunity by cheating and i believe the sportswriters who elect them will agree with me
  11. slugger for some1 who loves fake tits so much i'm surprised on ur stance on steroids =)

they aren't against the rules sir
  13. hahaaa
  14. Obviously has the stats for the hall, but if it's proven he did PED's, he doesn't belong in the hall. Nor does any of the other players from that era who got the undeserved padded stats as a direct result. Just not fair to all the guys who came before this era who had to do it without roids.

but bonds was a hall of famer before steroids. it's not like he wasn't a hall of famer, used steroids, and became one. he was a beast in the early 90s without them.

  16. its funny, the people who whine and complain about players in the 90s and 00s using PEDs conveniently forget that stars of the 60s, 70s, and 80s popped handfuls of greenies, which are currently on mlb's banned substance list. can't have it both ways, folks.
  17. There were/are some users of PEDs, some suspected users, some non users, no matter how you define it. There have been these same three categories of players for generations, only amphetamines were the drug of choice and still are for some. What are we going to do about that? PED/Steroid use was a major part of the game. I doubt it does any good to attempt to formally separate out those who used and might have used form those who didn't for purposes of records and HOF selection.

He is who he is are and people can make up their own mind how they will remember him and the others who used PEDs. They all played the same game and every knows or can found out who's who, so keeping him or anyone else out of the HOF would be as dumb as keeping Pete Rose out. They are both a significant part of baseball history and to ignore them or ostracize them just seems silly. Let 'em in and let the fans and players determine the legacy not the sportswriters.
  18. I don't care if he belongs in the hall of fame or not. I fucking hate Barry Bonds.

    didn't say that.

what i did say is that i'm not sure there is any positive proof, which i'd like if you're going to prevent arguably the greatest offensive player of all time from entering the hall of fame.

  23. Pedro sucks. He was a local reporter in AZ, glad he left and went to ESPN, I had to see a lot less of him after that.
  24. where the fuck is norcaljeff????????
  25. only proof that he did steroids at the moment was his growth spurt between the ages of 30-40
  26. Can't compare college Barry and later Barry, there has been a huge growth in how a baseball player trains in that 20 year span. Everyone was skinny in 1986 and im guessing by the pitcure that he was one of the bigger guys. Everyone is jacked now. Not saying he didn't do steriods but comparing a 1986 barry to a 2006 barry isn't fair.

how do you know players from previous eras never used PED's of some sort?

horse steroids FTW... not to mention amphetamine pills

  28. It's an odd defense for someone who is guilty to say how do we know that everyone else isn't guilty too so why should I be punished. Let's assume that the baseline for achievement was set by players using greenies in the 60s and 70s. Bonds' transgression allowed him to perform at a level far above that. Clearly his choice of drug was more effective for improving his stats.

I cannot imagine people unbiasedly looking at the evidence and concluding he didn't do it. It is another thing to say that it isn't a big deal and he shouldn't be kept out of the hall of fame because of it. His stats from the time before he started committing a felonymay be praise worthy, his decision making and his behavior after that time is not. Baseball Hall of Fame appears to me to be an Honor for those who exemplify the best of the game. Bonds, Rose, McGwire, Sosa and Palmero's do not

  29. he did it. he is also a clear-cut HOFer

and loooool @ personal use of steroids being a felony

  30. I do not commend what Barry did, with that said its very obvious that he did it, but if he is left out of the Hall of Fame it would be the biggest blunder in the history of baseball.
