  1. are homosexuals. it is seriously gayer than two men having sex with another man watching. i just dont understand how you can possibly like rooting for winners all the time. its got to be boring as shit. heres the post that caught my eye.

    http://www.pocketfives.com/poker-for...angers-2775368

so the rangers suck ok fine. you guys have a good basketball team, hockey teams probably good (no one watches hockey so i dont know) is thta enough? NOPE! gotta pick another baseball team to root for. how bout the red sox. there ya go.

i am in no means flaming people that root for their home teams that just so happen to be good. i am flaming queers like half my friends that root for duke when NCAA basketball season starts.

dont think of this post as a bitter sports fan post either. i have been a fan of cleveland sports since the day i was born and wouldnt have it any other way. it is refreshing when i see them get in the playoffs and dissapointing when they lose yes. hey but thats life.

    rant over.
  2. Piss me off.

I live in fucking iowa and I know plenty of fags that are yankee fans.

come on root for the twins, brewers, cubs, or even the cardinals......someone in the midwest. But the fucking Yankees. die immed please
  3. Frank...you're a Homo! Literally. "Not that there is anything wrong with that" but seriously...YOU ARE!
  4. This has always been a pet peeve of mine. Especially people who root for a team only when they are good, and abandon them when the franchise hits hard times. (ie. Chicago Bulls, or San Francisco 49ers "fans" I knew growing up...)
  5. Im from Arizona and im a Suns,Cardinals fan. But ive been a SF Giants fan since i was like 9 and they suck now. The Cardinals are getting better, i dont like the Diamond Backs or the Coyotes, in hockey im a Wings fan and ive been one since i started watching hockey 14 years ago.
  6. I agree PTA, regional area.. Or your hometown..

Im from WI and am a brewers, blues, bucks, and yes, despite the national championship last night, always been a J-Hawk basketball fan since as long as I can remember.. I bought a KU hat last year!!
  7. ...are probably fags that root for Michigan Football (still...after all the losing, and then missing out on Terrell Pryor, and also getting like their 15th choice for coach).
  8. It makes sense that you would pick teams outside of Arizona since they didn't have a baseball or hockey team when you are growing up. This is acceptable.
  9. yessir, firgured someone was gonna give me sht for being a wings fan, but you got it.
  10. I concur wholeheartedly. I hate bandwagon fans. I root for my team when they are good and when they suck donkey balls. That's what comes with being a fan. Enjoying the good runs and getting through the bad ones.

  11. I am a yankee fan, but I have good reasons, not only did I grow up/currently live in NY, My dad grew up in the bronx about 5 min away from Yankee stadium...so Ive been one for life and not just cause they win a lot

Im also a Miami Dolphin fan, and it pisses me off to see all the brand new Patriot fans, who claim to be Patriot fans before they got good, but thats obv BS, making fun of me cause I like the dolphins...at least Im not a front running bitch
  12. "at least Im not a front running bitch"

lol-- Im sure you say that to your buddies to shut em up... I woood
  13. I only root for the best teams. The Chiefs & Royals are w/out a doubt the best teams in all sports.
  14. I root for the Red Sox but live in Louisiana. But I don't root for them because they've been the best team the last few years. Ever since I've watched baseball I've liked them, and I'd estimate I was around 5 or 6 years old when I began being a huge baseball fan. We have no baseball team in Louisiana, so I guess I chose the Red Sox(Note, this was before they won these last two championships).

Oh, and the Saints pwn, and I supported Aaron Brooks even...tis' was hard.
  15. pm GoPats 12. Bandwagon jumpin' mofo.
  16. Couldn't agree more.

    Sincerely,

    Jigsaw

    New Orleans Saints Fan.
  17. I lived in No Dak for most of my life. I was 7 years old and a left hander, when Reggie Jackson was in his prime in 77. I've been a Yankees fan ever since. So blow me for liking the Yanks as a 7 year old. Donny Baseball FTW. The Twins suck and always have. Oh well.
  18. I have been a Jayhawk fan since i have been keeping up with college bball back in 95. FSU football fan since the days of Tamarick Vanover. I have been a Cowboy fan since the age of 3 and was born an Atlanta Brave 4 life. I really dont have an NBA team but I do appreciate a good game. My favorite player of my era is "The Glove" GP are you wit me?
  19. im sure you have valid, in depth reasons for those picks, but that is the most front-runnish lineup ever.
  20. My 5-2 Royals that just stomped the Yankees, hate the Yankees.
  21. live in missouri and my teams are

    MLB: Yankees

    NBA: Knicks and Grizzlies

    NFL: Jets

    College: Memphis

reasoning is that NYC is my favorite city on the planet and visit there every summer and I go to about 15 grizz games and 5 tigers games every year. and STL makes me yawn.
  22. Don't even get me started on how many tards jumped on the Red Sox bandwagon after they won their first WS a couple years ago. Seriously is was disgusting how trendy it became to be a Boston fan around here.
  23. I'm typically a New York sports fan, although i recently whent to NYC for the very first time at the age of 21. When i was 4 i was given a NYG helmet, and mini jersey... and I have been pretty much hooked since then. I LOVE the giants, I root for the Knicks, but I absolutely despise the Yankees. I hate everything about the organization, i respect their success but they are amazingly unlikable. I don't follow baseball very much, and i dont really have a "team", but I am physically unable to cheer for the Yankees in any circumstance. I was actually a Red Sox fan for a while, before they won in 2004.. I learned to root for them, because of their large fan base and what it would mean for all of those people to finally win a World Series, but after they won i was completely turned off from the team; they werent an underdog anymore. In general, i am always cheering for the underdog. I leave most sporting dissapointed because I'm cheering for the team that isn't supposed to win.. but that makes it exponentially better when my team finally gets there, thus this past Super Bowl was one of the happiest days of my life, haha.

There are more Yankees + Red Sox caps here in my Northern VA school than any other team combined... and it frustrates me. There were also an amazingly high % of Patriots jerseys during this season despite being a LONG way from NE... people flock towards success, people suck.

  24. I'm from Arizona and I root for all the AZ teams when they're not playing my favorite team. I picked all of my favorite teams when I was a kid and theyr'e still my favorites; none of them are my hometown teams. One of them just happens to win the NBA title pretty much every year.
  25. I am from OC CALI, but have been a tigers fan since I was 2. Don't think im fickle when ive been through 21 and 140 years. When they owned everyone last year it was best feeling ever rubbing it in everyones face
  26. I pretty much wanted to kill every person I saw with a Red Sox hat on after they won the series. Also, anyone who wears Patriots paraphenalia(sp?), until they lost the SB, then i burst out in spontaneous laughter. On a side note, also anyone who is now a Celtics fan. I live on the East coast, but F all three of those teams.
  27. PM dandickau on this. Jumped on the Gonzaga bandwagon after the Elite 8 UConn loss. Jumped on the Spurs bandwagon probably a few years before that when Duncan and Robinson were playing together. Jumped on the Angels bandwagon in 2002ish, then jumped off it a few years later for the Blue Jays. Jumped on some NHL teams bandwagon for a quick title run 4-5 years back. Jumped on the Packers bandwagon back in the '90s probably when they won a super bowl.

Only team he likes that sucks is the Arizona Cardinals...
  28. am from chicago...die hard cubs, bears, bulls fan...always have been, always will be
  29. there's only one rule when it comes to sportsfans: rep yo city. You should be rooting for the closest teams to you. there are a few exceptions, like "my father was a X fan, so I'm an X fan." or...no, I think that's it.

don't rep the rival b/c "you want to be different". never jump on the best team bandwagon. bulls/yankees/red sox etc.

go warriors, sharks, niners and giants!
  30. Lived in Maine my entire life and have been a die-hard Sox, Pats, Celtics and Bruins fan forever. It's sick how many new Pats and Sox fans I see now that I knew used to be fans of other teams. Unless you've been through the miserable losing times, don't jump on the bandwagon.
