But back to the golf.
Another piece of evidence was the fact that the runner-up in the WV Amateur played on the same course in June shot a 66 on the second day. That's when I decided that the pros were going to shoot a lot lower than that. Even with tougher pin placements and longer tees, I still thought the pros would shoot more than three shots better than a WV amateur. -
You know what is amazing though - Erik Compton leading after the first round.
Compton has been known throughout the golf world for his heart condition. When he was nine, Compton was told he had an illness called viral cardiomyopathy, a condition where the heart muscle is inflamed and unable to pump as hard as it should. He has been through three different hearts thus far through his life. His first heart transplant came in 1992, when Compton was 12. Compton had his second transplant and third heart in 2008, which was again a successful surgery. For this, Compton was given the Ben Hogan Award at Augusta, Georgia during The Masters in April 2009. He also gained recognition for his attempts to have the use of a golf cart during qualifying rounds for PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour events.[1] -

Predicting 20 rounds in the 50's foolish.
I mean every year you could always say, the Bob Hope was gonna have low rounds and it always did. Same thing you say about the North Course at Torrey Pine. But no course will produce the numbers that guy said. -
Demolish the course and start all over imo. To maybe have a guy shoot 30 under is redic
-
so the leader is -18 going into sunday, obv he will easily go 22 under and win by -40

Typical OT prediction thread OP just right hyped up for a massivie fail
-
I think OP has tourney confused with the John Deere.
-
What compels people to point a giant neon sign at their own heads that says "I am a fucking retard?" Please enlighten us, OP.
-
I personally applaud him for making such an unbelievable prediction. Of course that prediction would fail miserably, but for us golf fans it was at least an entertaining.
I mean he could have predicted something even more stupid, like the Colorado Rockies would get 11 consecutive hits or something. Talk about something that could never happen. -
I guess if this kid was playing that course, then he might of been closer on his prediction.

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Bobby Wyatt shot a 57 at the Alabama Boys State Junior Championship.
The University of Alabama-bound teen, who turns 18 this weekend, had 12 birdies, an eagle and five pars Wednesday on the par-71, 6,628-yard course at the Country Club of Mobile. His birdie putt hung on the lip on the 18th green and he had to settle for par.
Wyatt needed 23 putts total and shot a 9-under 26 on the front nine.
The previous low round in the State Junior was 61 by Glenn Northcutt in 2004 on a par-70 layout which measured just over 5,000 yards.
Wyatt has won the state's junior championship the past three years.
Ryo Ishikawa's 58 in the final round of The Crowns tournament on the Japan Tour on May 2 is the lowest score on a major tour.
Wyatt's score was five strokes better than his previous career-low, set in a tournament in Louisiana.
"It was unbelievable," he said. "I got off to a fast start with birdies on my first two holes, then was 3-under after four and it kept going from there."
Alabama coach Jay Seawell was among the swelling crowds watching Wyatt's round. He record a 9-under 26 through the first nine holes.
"People were congratulating me as I made the turn, but I knew there was a lot of golf to be played," Wyatt said. "I had to take a few extra practice swings on the 10th tee to get my focus back."
He birdied Nos. 16 and 17 and just missed another on the final hole.
Wyatt was playing with Michael Johnson and Trey Mullinax, who will be his roommate at Alabama.
"They are two good friends of mine and they talked to me as we went around which helped relax me, but didn't say anything about the round I was having," Wyatt said.
