    just because I disagreed with a decision made by Tony LaRussa to start a hobbled Albert Pujols there with a 1 run lead and a 3-2 count with 0 outs, you decide that its baseball 101 that he has to run him there.     Sean it had to deal with 2 factors ... Lance doesn't strike out much and is a very good contact hitter. With that being said we hit into a record amount of double plays this year and as you said Albert is slow and hobbled so why not send him with one of our best contact hitters so we avoid the double play. Unfortunately it didn't work out and it looked like a bonehead idea when in retrospect I'd hope we do the same thing 10/10 times.

    Hope that helps man, as much as I hate the Phillies you seem like a passionate fan at the very least so hopefully that helped you out. Dono wtf Jroths problem is, thinks he is the almighty cardinals fan on this board, arent you from Illi ... please go be a cubs fan.

    lol i explained it 100 times...and all you keep saying is "he woulda been out on a groundball anyway"--which couldn't be further from the truth.

    i've played/watched/coached baseball my entire life, and i could probably count on 2 hands the number of double plays that have been turned the traditional way on a groundball with the runner moving.

    not only that, but EVERY SINGLE PERSON in this thread is telling you what a retard you are--even your own fanbase. yet you still continue arguing for 3 pages trying to convince yourself that you're right...when you're dead wrong.

    you're stubborn as hell, so you got that going for you i guess...

    I spent a lot of energy during the Eagles game where I had to talk a lot of shit during that comback. My friends have been talking shit all off season and all week leading to that game.

    It felt awesome. I blew my load before the Phillies started.

    Yeah I thought my weekend was going to be shitty as well ... we go up 3-0 in game 1 only to fucking blow it and then the rams got worked by the skins only to see us go down 4-0 early vs lee. With that being said I wouldn't trade the weekend for anything now ... ecstatic to be 1-1 with best time in the majors

    I think it all depends. If we fall 2-1, I picture him getting the start. I know I heard them talking about him in regards to pitching on short rest and he said something along the lines that he feels fine pitching on short rest, but its the start after that first one when he feels it and it affects him.

    Basically... who fucking knows. I dont get paid to make these decisions lol.
