Phone number spoofing?

    So over the last few days I've had two people(A buddy of mine and my girlfriends sister) tell me that they got calls from my number talking shit and then hanging up. The one to my buddy said "Fuck you fat ass don't ever call me again" *click. The one to my girls sister said "I fucked your sister last night when are are you gonna give me a crack at that ass" *click. Honestly thought it was hilarious but I can see this getting annoying in the future. Never knew you were able to manipulate caller ID like that but a quick google search and I found a website with a program. Anybody run into like this or know a way to figure out who's doing it?

    Friends from the USA found an iphone app where you can change your caller ID to any number. They would search college admission numbers and fuck with their friends. Really awesome app but also extremely dangerous.

    My friend calls his Dad from "867-5309" (from the popular song in case you live in a cave) all the time and his Dad gets very confused and thinks it's the actual person from the song. Anyways, I bet this app is going to destroy all kinds of relationships.
