  1. I've thought about posting this for a number of years--being riffed by the US gov has brought it back to mind so I thought I'd post.

Are there people interested in trying to go after Pick 6 carryover pools?

For those who don't know, a pick 6 carryover pool is created when no one correctly picks the winners of all 6 races on the pick 6 card. This creates a carryover going into the next day's racing. As there are no live wagers from the previous day, this wager can offer a plus ev opportunity. The downside is of course that hitting the winners of 6 straight races is difficult. Often it is necessary to spread your ticket to include multiple horses in multiple legs, which can make the ticket pricy.

I used to do horse wagering exclusively for income in my pre poker days, and have come up with some pretty sophisticated multi ticket approaches. I'd be happy to discuss if anyone is interested.

Most readily, there is a $514,000 carryover at Churchill tomorrow from the Derby which prompted me to post, although I can readily see that time to organize an effort to attack this with a group probably isn't there.

Obv not posting for those whose roll is still tied up on FT or UB.

    Take care

  2. I'm not interested in joining forces, but wish you (and anyone else playing) good luck tomorrow, and will certainly be heavily invested in this pool to try and catch lightning in a bottle. I am a bit bummed, as I had 3 live horses in the Derby to hit the pick 5 (probables were 118K, 220K, and 320K), but obviously ran 2nd and 3rd. Good luck tomorrow sir.

Maybe post your ticket for fun?

  4. I dunno what you are talking about, there is an OTB 2 stop lights from my house. Its pretty nice too. I have been twice and dont know what Im doing so i just bring 100 dollars and bet 5 dollars a long shot for an hour and go home busto.
  5. That's a nice carryover, good luck, if I can get hold of some dough online and nobody picks 6 tomorrow I may be interested.
  6. My tickets (not gonna give all of them now as there were more that 40) used the following:

    7 (winner of first leg)
    49, 6,7
    4
    3,8...2,6
    5...1,3,4,7
    9..5,10..1,6,12

keys for me: speed cant do too well, and obv all my tickets go thru Patine in the 3rd who absolutely got sawed off in debut...I didn't do a very good job in the 9th I don't think. Obv if the 5 is fit he takes it...Shoulda probably committed to a line here.
