Pgh, are you living in northern Baja now?
-
Yea, in Rosarito. I would select "Rosarito" instead of "Tijuana" for my P5s profile, but that's not an option.
Gonna be on the super grind for a month and a half, then hoping to visit San Diego in late August to go to the Pirates-Padres series if the Bucs are still in contention. -
Oh cool. I head down to Puerto Nuevo and Baja Malibu every once in a while. If you want to grab a beer let me know. $10 all you can eat lobster and a beer in Nuevo.

More Seward Highway - the mountains don't seem to look nearly as big in pictures as they did in person. Can't really state enough how amazing the drive was, it was basically 3 hours of snow capped mountains, wild flowers, rivers, lakes, etc. Took us like 8 hours to make it to Seward we made so many stops. -
wtf is that thing the eagles are perched on?

Nice neighborhood, I see.

Glad to hear you enjoyed AK!!
Alyeska is my home mountain and and I never get tired of the drive along Turnagain Arm. Especially after a sick powder day when you drive home and the sun is shining off the water it gets incredibly beautiful.
You should have stopped in Girdwood and taken a trip to the top of Alyeska! Amazing views up top plus if you're hungry there is the 7 Glaciers restaurant which is a 4 star restaurant. A hidden local spot in Girdwood is the Double Musky (a legit 5 star restaurant). It looks like a hole in the wall but it has amazing food! Chair 5 is another hidden gem and they make incredible pies. My favorite thing on their menu is the coconut halibut!
I know some sick hiking trails around Girdwood that aren't overly challenging. The Winner Creek trail is pretty cool sometimes I hit it up in August cause I get to pick salmonberries, cloudberries, huckleberries, watermelon berries, trailing raspberries, low bush blueberries, and high bush blueberries. I like to fuck around and make wildberry smoothies with em. -
The Turnagain Arm has one of the biggest tidal shifts in the world. People will get out there on paddleboards and catch the bore tide and then ride it for miles. It doesn't go very fast but it's still kinda cool to see people surfing out there.
